  • this is qixingjian, sword form invented by chenshixing by putting together moves from xuanmen jian , taiji jian and some other forms he learned during his 3 years training with zhong yun long.

  • Admirable performance! 7☆^^ Thanks for this awesome video^^

  • The music made my head hurt, as I've heard it a lot of times in Wudang videos, as much as the "Shaolin, Shaolin" song in Shaolin videos.

  • Wudang is also known as wu tang. Taiji is also known as Tai Chi. Qigong is also known as Chi Kung. Just a matter of phonetic translation.

This form is amazing. If only I had half that dedication...

  • fal qi is chi lol like qi gong is spelled like that but u say it chi gong just in the spelling

  • its called chi dumbass

  • your the dumbass man.

  • There's two different way of saying "chi". You're both correct, but "qi" is the literal Chinese spelling, while "chi" is the wiles-gales spelling.

  • @lilunshan actually there is a "chi" in pinyin as well, but it isn't pronounce like chee as in cheese; it doesn't exactly have an english equivalent that I can think of. It is pronounced more like "chuhr"

  • also this is not a combat style martial art, it's for practicing inner power, the "Qi"(air in side your body if translated directly)

  • @maokeke Not a combat martial art? Yeah, I've seen a lot of guys say the same thing about internal kung fu, until they got beaten badly by a 70-year-old man who practices these forms.

  • it's called the Wu Dang seven star sword if you translated directly... watch the masters step~he is following the north seven star as the name tells

  • tao lu is the chinese term

  • i am glad ancient arts are still preserved till these days.

  • this doesn't seem to me to be the Seven Star Sword form I remember, but it's been years since I've tried it, so I could be wrong. Anyone else recognize this? I just ask because I hear it's a pretty popular routine in China.

  • Qi xing (seven stars) is a very popular name in chinese wu shu, shaolin also has a qi xing jian, as i'm sure do many other styles of gong fu.

  • The music is from the Jet Li movie, "Tai Chi Master"...

  • Is this somekind of a "kata" ?

  • jian is sword

  • yes, it's a "kata". Usually in western studies of Chinese martial arts, the routines are called "forms" instead of "kata", since "kata" is a Japanese word, which would be inappropriate considering it is not a Japanese art.

  • hubei province,china

  • Wudang is where it is at.

  • wudang mountain is at Shiyan City Hubei provance China

  • movement is "alright", could use more power, better targets and slicing. blocks don't really cover the areas which they should. the jian should move out of the one third!!

  • An 18 yr old from Switzerland would be an authority on this guy... ya ok. Send me a video of you and any form with the jian before you diss someone with more skill than yourself.

  • I sent u the video, so now u can send me a video of YOU practicing a Jian form ;)

  • impressive :)

  • Wow! This is good - nice balance between power and grace =] and the music is pretty inspiring too
