Hey a question for all owners of african grey's, My parrot is a year and a few months is it normal for him to lose about more than 10 feathers a day. Plzzzzz answer this is realy serious.
my budgie keeps putting his foot in the flightsuit how do i make him stop and also his 8 months old will he grow into the flightsuit its just a millimeter bigger then him
I actually bought it online I would suggest though buying it from a store cause you may have issues of fitting correctly I sure did . Show a video Once you Add your video Would love to see
I just posted my 1st video of Timneh russell saying his name. Russ always says his name whenever I pick him up, put him down or bribe him with a peanut and he dosnt care whos watching either, but he was a bit camera shy today. Thanks for inspiring me Barb.
I never commented on this one. I don't know why....KaNicki is just the most adorable thing in that flight suit. I wish they had those when my guys were that young. Now that they are all approaching 20 years old, I don't think they'd like a flight suit.
Hello I have a Congo 15 years old and a Timneh 9 years old. Thinking of trying a flight suit for my TAG, Just wanted to ask a few questions. Is Kanicki wearing a size wide suit. Has he gotten used to the suit? Is he comfortable in it or does he pick at it alot?I love your film you have inpired me, I will be posting some of my own soon.
Hi there Thnxs for watching and congrats on two lovley greys ! he still picks at it a bit but slowly getting better hes so young still only 1yr and 1/2 . I ordered my direct and told them the age and type of bird I have so they sent me the appropiate size . so unsure of the Wide or not .. Please let me know when you share your videos I would love to see them . Greys are the Best ! and your so lucky to have double the Joy !
im confused kinda, what exactly is the flightsuits purpose? Does it stop them from flying completely, or is its only to use to connect a leash? It would seem kind of mean if he was attached to a leash, and started to fly, but then got pulled back by the leash. Id really like to know because I dream of having an african grey one day that I can take outside on my arm with me and bring him to the pet stores!
Thanxs for the comment and the question ! I Can tell you will be a responsible Bird owner ! Even if a bird wings are clipped they can still get some wing glide from a small gust of wind and there are many stories of birds being lost just this way Also if they get startled By an animal a Car etc Yes he would get pulled back if he flies to far but I leave his long leash out all the way .
Finally a responsible owner that puts their bird in a flight suit before taking it outside! Most people just don't understand that even a clipped bird can fly away.
Thanxs Switchblde . I agree KaNicki is clipped I have dogs and a cat inside so I wouldnt want to risk that and he is out if his cage alot Plus I would be afraid of him bumping in windows I know alot of folks hate to clip thier birds but this is the only way I am comfy Sooo I wanted to mention thats yeppers never goes out without his suit and is clipped too still getting used to it but he knows when I say outside whats coming and his eyes get pinned and he gets excited .. what a nice comment !
He loves being outside .. but when a Jay or a Gackle cme around he gets a wee bit nervous but loves watching the tiny birds the chickadees sparrows n titmice :)
Barb it took him a long time for him to tolerate getting into it Lots of showing him the suit letting him beak it n such and still has some issues but I think as he enjoys being outside more he will get better ..we are thinking about enclosing our front porch so he can be out there without it at period .. and its so fun to take him to the pet supply place !

He's a little uneasy in the suit. But if I tried to put one on my birds, they'd have a heart attack. KaNicki is a good boy, that's for sure.
