this camera is pretty good. sony should make all there lcd high res, thus make it better for fast pic reviews, the hx5v lacks the high res lcd that the tx7 has.

@calikalinfo It really depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for more features the HX5V might be what you're looking for. If you're looking for an easy to carry, slimmer camera than I would suggest the TX7.

Same here. Quite confused with the color initially, the one in this video look very dark which impressed me. The one selling in Singapore here is dark blue, thats why I refrained to buy it. Wish it is black completely.

Can anyone reccommend me atop camera that has great 720p video recording and pics. i use to have casio exlim 1000 and it had pretty good 720p recording and pics were crisp . For the price it was a great camera. I paid £110 at the time ..when it was going for a lot more. i want to buy a better camera, is sony the best ? which sony do you think is good for decent price and quality?

Yeah it is quite close to black, actually from some angles we thought it was black! But on closer inspection is a sophisticated dark dark dark blue :)

I ve got the silver one...it looks awesome....imho way better than the blue one....the blue one looks too dark....i think a pure black would be better instead. The cool thing with silver is it doesnt show finger prints while the blue one does horribly.

the battery is OK only according to other reviews the battery life isnt as long as other batteries and the charging takes a little longer. and also its a new type of battery so you might have to get extras and they cost bout $50 each
