We've had very different childhoods. I've never been physically punished, nor have i heard of anyone I know ever being physically punished. Nor have I ever been grounded, or had things taken from me. There is nothing wrong with spanking if applied the right way for the right things. Somethings don't require a spanking, but there are times when spanking is necessary.

If you don't like it, don't do it, but if someone has nothing against spanking their children, then tha's none of your business as long as they aren't getting abusive with it.

yeah kids can go nuts because their parents don't give them any rules or real guidlines. I've also seen a lot of parents not being very constant with their kids, and kids need that to reinforce the rules and the behavior. ya know all the people I've met that didn't get punished as a child are now learning things the hard way that they can't always get what they want, and there are consequences to their actions.

I agree, what you teach your kids is what they use later in life, violence only brings violence, you as an example who would use it on your kids.

and it doesn't allow them to make decisions which can fuck people up later in life. some parents need to learn from their kids, they are the next generation and they should not be held back by what the parents see as right, because they may be teaching their kids wrong.
