Product accomplished. Are you ready for your dreams to come true? What dreams are that? What's your American Dream? (the second that phrase dies) -I don't have any dreams anymore You don't? No. You can't stop now.- What're you gonna do? Sit around outside of a trailer? Well film me sitting outside of a trailer man, but we ain't living outside of a trailer. Where else am I gonna sit? Best. Part. Of. The. Best. Movie. Ever.
If you think about it Uncle Bill's dreams DID come true. More and more people discover this documentary every day and Bill makes us all so happy with his genuine character comedy and poetry. Real Beauty
Uncle Bill is The best real life character I have ever seen on film. This documentary makes me laugh so hard it hurts until I get to this scene and suddenly I am fighting back the tears. Pure Hilarity, Inspiration, and Catharsis. Don't forget to chase your Dreams!
i watched this movie 2 times in a row and both times this scene makes me very sad, I love this movie and i can't wait to see Hamlet ADD with Mark and Mike in it as well as Trace, and Kevin from mst3k
I never thought the 90's were memorable...It's amazing to see how innocent the 90's were and how we were so introspective back then on the small details in life. It was the last decade of innocence for the US.
@SpearSiix what do you mean with this bullcrap about innocence and lost innocence. what a crap statement. people have always said that line about every previous decade. no doubt in 10 years some dungheap will say the same thing about the 2000s, just like some dungheap in the 90s said the 80s/70s was the last deacde of innocence
oh ok but now the 90s are the last one. hmm, funny, apparently every new decade since the 1890s appears to be the last one of innocence. Don't be stupid.
@unfortunatebeam Well that's just like your opinion, man! (Who got the quote?) Don't argue with people on the internet, I can tell you are very insecure and foolish.
@SpearSiix oh you can tell that by 5 sentences in a youtube comment eh? Wow, you just must be an extremely intuitive person. lol, what a joke.
And don't argue with people on the internet? why not? It's as good a place as any to argue, with the bonus that you don't have to look at any one else's ugly mug and listen to the the annoying sound of their voice lol.
I'm foolish? haha, I don't go around saying dumbass things like how amazingly innocent the 90s were XD
@SpearSiix Nothing innocent about the 90's unless you consider we had our first nigger president with that fucktard white trash piece of shit Bill Clinton. This film is genius by the way.
I think it says a lot that Uncle Bill, who was losing it but still was perceptive enough to see Mark's limitations, still wound up leaving him 50 grand. Why did he do it? Because Mark was the only one that was involved in his life at the end? Or because he genuinely wanted to aid Mark in his dream, even though he didn't believe in the reality of it succeeding?
I think that's the most touching (and relevant) part of the whole documentary.
I just saw this film last night (in Ireland ) on BBc station and I adored it. The people are quite endearing. Up til 4am to see the end!!! Totally worth my time. Go cheeseheads!!
I think the sad thing about this scene is that many more Americans are living like these people are than the well-to-do people that you always see on TV. When we laugh at these people, we're laughing at ourselves. If you aren't broke yet, it's coming.
@ebonics4everyone "if you aren't broke yet, it's coming" yeah, but if you don't do soemthing shitbrained like get married or spent all the money you make on things you don't need or shouldn't do (drugs, alcohol, girls, gambling, etc) and save it instead, then you don't have to be broke. Just use your head
these guys were ahead of their time. if this poor guy came along in this era- of digital video and youtube and home editing systems- he d be able to make all the films he wanted- and distribute them happily....................they wouildnt be any good.....but at least he d be doing what made him happy.
never in my life did i think i'd miss the 90's...this is a wonderful film...a strangely appealing sweetness, so comical and touching and yes, really american...we should pull ourselves together in the USA!
@Lavxtee why would you think you wouldn't miss the 90s? such a bizarre statement to make...and anyway they look like they're more look holdovers from the 1980s.
God i love this film , it is probably one of the most endearing , heartwarming , inspiring movies i have ever seen and i wish those 2 all the luck in the world, they are like the real life J and silent bob. also RIP bob , god bless him
Thanks for posting these videos, it's a truly funny and sad movie about reality and dreams.... Anybody know what happened to Mark and Mike? Are they doing well now or back to the way they were before Northwestern? Whoever knows, and answers, thanks....
Perfect: "We'll film you sitting outside of a trailer, but we ain't gonna live with you sitting outside of a trailer." "Where else am I gonna sit?" Film replaces religion as the new fantasy to transcend sad reality.
