He explains that he was talking to people adn they told him he couldn't stay he had to go back, so he shot back through the tunnel and back into his body and came back alive. @dfcvda: I think we do have strong evidence that points to continuity of consciousness, even if you throw out everything not accepted by mainstream science (a mistake, I think) such as veridical perception during NDEs, psychic mediums, etc, there's still plenty of scientific evidence that directly conflicts with mind=brain. Such as terminal lucidity involving severe brain damage, brainless organisms demonstrating learning behavior, and severe hydrocephalus.
@dfcvda: The physicalist model of consciousness cannot explain everything we have observed surrounding mind and brain. What physicalism can't explain simply gets classified as mysteries 'to be solved at a later date'. AKA, Promissory materialism. The reducing valve model of consciousness works much better.
