  • NICE!

  • Thanks for favoriting this. I don't think cars will ever go away in one form or another. But the "love affair" is dying.

  • gas needs to be more expensive before I give up my car. I think I will give it up if gas gets up to $8 - $10/ gallon. There is just too much energy in a gasoline for me to compleatly give it up without kicking and screaming.

The only thing that will stop car usage in a America is insanely high gas prices or gas shortages.

I did enjoy the video and I added it to my favorites.

  • Here's an idea: We need jobs, and we need less car-dependent infrastructure. So, let's build it! Forget waiting for the government to take care of us... WE are the government. Let's take our resources, pool them together and build! Fed funds have too many strings attached.

  • Sounds like a whole new govt to me. But whatever is clever, I'm for it.

  • The reason public transportation is done by the gov. is that there isn't enough profit in it to be viable for the private sector.

We need to find a way to make it so, and then companies will invest. They won't do anything w/o a profit.

This is a great idea, we just need to figure out a way to make it viable.

  • it won't be viable as long as we are subsidizing the automobile as much as we are now.

  • Here in Mexico we're so far from that, because in the public transportatino services we spend 50% more time than using a car.

But I actually use my bike to go around on week ends.

Now Im lookin' to buy a foldable bike to take it with me to work.

    Congratulation for this video!!!!

  • Fantastic. Everybody worldwide should view this.

  • Super motivational! We need more reliable public transportation out here on the west coast!

  • public transportation takes 3x as long as driving here on the west coast & one runs the risk of violence associated with all the proximity of sickos (viruses & predators).

  • Public transportation on the west coast mostly sucks.

GM, Firestone and Standard oil are partly to thank since they monopolized the streetcar system and then systematically destroyed it. And now GM wants a bailout!? We should make them put the trains back.

As for viruses and predators... Life is risk and that risk is not averted by the four-wheel steel trap, especially when you factor in obesity.

  • This is the direction I am moving. Have not completed the four step program yet, though.

  • Thanks for posting this. Very informative and inspiring.
