That poor white horse looked like he didn't want any part of this amazingly awful commercial -- exhibiting more sense then the producers or actors.

I find this rather sad. The obvious prostitution element -- the drinking in the tub -- the rapture with material items -- and a dependence on alcohol -- not to mention the morose, somber music. Were they trying to discourage consumption of their product, White Horse Whiskey?!

It's certainly bizarre, but if you see prostitution or alcohol dependence here, it's only because you're looking through the prism of modern PC sensibilities. The girl isn't a whore, just an old-fashioned gold digger. And the old man is what we used to call a "sugar daddy." Rapture with material items? Well, that's what advertising ANY product is about.

The song IS weird, though. It sounds like Irving Berlin's "Let's Face the Music and Dance" sideways.
