This album (Sesame Street Fever) was in great demand in the early 80's as it has some awesome breaks that the hip-hop producers wanted to use. Bizarre but true.
Seriously, this is a fantastic disco song. And I don't care what anyone says or thinks. The lyrics and the singing is absolutely wonderful. God, kids these days and their Linkin Park...
The violin runs at :43 are awesome. I remember when my parents brought this record home I hated it because it wasn't the same versions I heard on TV. Now I really can appreciate all the instrumental arrangements on this album.

Here's the thing! If you play it backwards, you will hear a disco version of "Eihide Your Bomb". Thanks to "CrazyBrandondorf" and "Brandondorf9999", one of the two users that didn't really care about making stupid videos.
i had Sesame Street fever on 8 track but i was stupid. NOW i have the vinyl & store bought tape, now the picture at 0:33 is the "ernies Hits" cover with bubbles over it.
In 1978 the german Sesame Street (Sesamstrasse) got a german "frame action" with Samson an Tiffy instead of Bibo (Big Bird) an Oscar - and also without any "Sesame Street Fever" - so it´s nice for me to find this here. Thanks a lot.
Ernie taking a bath on the disco floor in front of his singing group, how embarrassing, just kidding, I used to have this record as a kid, thanks for bringing the memories back.
I love this version of Rubber Duckie. Everytime I hear it I want to get up and dance to it. This is used in an episode were Big Bird and Snuffy imagine themselves in a disxo. I wish I had the whloe Sesame Street Fever CD. If someone has it please PM me and I will PM you my e-mail address to send it to. Because I want all the songs of The Sesame Street Fever CD on my I pod and my phone. Is it true you can get a A Sesame Street Fever tee-shirt with Grover on a dancefloor on the front? I love disco
I am fortunate to have this on LP and CD. I even made a couple of vids on my account from the album. Needless to say I love this record....really takes me back.
I didn't realise this album was available on CD ... I picked this album from a record dealer somewhere in London ...and paid quite alot of money for the album ... I may now look out for the CD ... better sound quality and easier to uplaod and all that !
Oops, guess I should have been clearer. I downloaded mp3 files of the album and burned it to a CD. However I'm sure if you look hard enough online you'll be able to find it.
Somewhere in my parent's basement, there's a copy of this LP in storage. I think I wore out the vinyl when I was little. Excellent sound quality given its age. Where did you find it?
first time i listend to the LP, i loved that drum intro. funny to think that many "adults" missed music like this! my copy must be somewhere in a friend's basement.
Ah this brings back memories; I was in the mood for hearing some songs I have not heard in a long time and so I typed in "sesame street fever" and among others, this came up; thanks for putting it out; made my day!

@Babe5677 An instrumental variant was used in 'Journey To Ernie' segments over the past few years as well.
