@breakingthe4thwall original is alwaus best but i HATE YODLING many great old songs are ruined becouse it was some kinda weird fashion to yodle between the lines.... xD
waylon was and is as good as it gets still to this day.every music collection should have this double live album in it. best damn voice ever to sing a song
The only way to be an outlaw is to be who you are. It takes courage to get out of line. Forget where the lines are drawn, Texas / Tennessee...all people livin' their lives and being distracted with bs about us and them...it's just you and me far as I can see. I loved Waylon, still see his bro Tommy from time to time and saw Shooter not too long ago. Jessie Coulter is one of my fav songwriters & Jimmy Rogers wrote a hell of alot of songs that many artists have covered in their own way. Peace
I spent my childhood summers listening to my dad cranking All of your 8 tracks through his Kenworth (cabover) sound sysyem in the 70's. I got to see you live in '79, 80, '92. I got see Shooter live on your stage in '80 when he was just a little feller.
Although I wasn't real fond of the TV show, can I still be an Outlaw too?
That was just a rhetorical question as I know that you are no longer with us.
Nonetheless, you're still the best Outlaw in the land!!!
I've been to most of the states in our country, and TX is the only state that was a country before it was a state. It's not the only place that's great, but along with many other things, many fine musicians came from here. My favorites are Waylon, Buddy Holly and Stevie Ray Vaughan. May they rest in peace.
Thanks to all of you who have given great advice on where to find replacement turntable needles.
I don't really own a turntable. My point was that if I did, I would have worn out the needle on this album, which I do consider to be one of Waylon's greatest. Of course there are so many great ones. Thanks for the post.
By far the BEST in country music. Pioneer and Ledgend. Ive got this on CD, Vinyl and my favorite, 8 Track. Still cruise with it on the highway. NO ONE can or ever will match this sound.
Here I go- A Mexican U.S. naturalized, Taco man who likes this red neck music!

Any woman that can't dance to this song can just put their feet on top of mine and I'll make 'em look like they know what their doing!
...and at the end of the night (after dancing with me), they'll be wanting me to curl their toes and knock the rollers out of their hair!
