  • Toyota is Moving forward even when you have the brakes on through a busy intersection

  • No mommy i dont wanna drive in the toyota im too young to die

  • Too Funny!!! My brother just got a letter recalling his Tacoma....for the undercoating!!! He had it looked at and discovered corrosion perforation "qualifies" the truck for a total frame replacement, including rear leaf springs, front suspension parts, brake lines, fuel lines.. More than $6,000 worth of work. He thinks they'll have his truck for several weeks! I think the dealer gave him a used Ford as a loaner 8-) Moving Forward! Yup! Yup! Oh Lord won't ya buy me a Mercedes-Benz...8-)

  • toyota i have two words FUCK YOU

  • for over 50 years, well let me just tell u something 30 of those years u guys knew about the pedal issue, and 55 people had to die for u guys to realize that there is something wrong with the accelerator. So it took u guys 30 years and 55 lives to be like "Ya, there is something wrong with our car". JUST DEOSN'T ADD UP.

  • @MegaTutorialTV101 30 years?? The cars recalled were from 2005 and up, how is that 30 years? Are you on crack?

  • @dannyc9997 no im not if uv seen the news reports they said over the

---->last 30 years<------ 55 people died due to toyota pedals

  • @MegaTutorialTV101 And hundreds of other people died from other manufacturers. Whats your point? If you dont know how to use the brakes in your car you deserve what you get. Survival of the fittest.

  • GO TOYOTA CAMRY

  • always trusted a Toyota and will continue to trust Toyota. RIP Toyota Celica 316,226 miles. lol.

  • More and more recalls for Toyota Lexus!

Can they do anything right this days.

Is it 11 million recall already?

  • Good and Great always different of course.

    Great = GM

  • The largest recall ever was just realeased from Ford a few months ago for leaking cruise control switches that ignite. Id rather speed up than loose a limb to a fire.

  • I would rather have my gas pedal stick than have my brakes fail completely OR my car catch on fire as im driving it. GET REAL and THINK before you speak you tards

  • toyota has been tops for a long time. so lets see, when gm, ford, or dodge have a recall its not a big deal but when toyota has a recall...its blown up! into the biggest thing ever...all domestics have been waiting for these times to come because toyotas been winning the entire time, does anyone get what im trying to say here?

  • @fergiman You are so right. i remember during the toyota recalls GM had a recall on power steering? and it did not blow up in the news. They just want to make toyota look very bad. And they think that they can bring toyota down......No sir. Toyota will always be number 1(:

  • @zetina2010 yes and now Chrysler Groups Recalls 62,400 Vehicles For Brake Failure

oh and...GM recalls 1.5 million vehicles over fire risk with their electrical systems and also gm's brakes failing because the lines corroded. So in conclusion, domestics are JUST AS BAD and to BLAME than Toyota. Chew on this you Toyota haters!!!!!

  • @fergiman

thats what i've been trying to say.

i love the f150 but the new tundra 07-2010 fucking beast

  • @fergiman I totally get what you're saying, but look at how many years that the media has been stabbing the Big Three over the most asinine recalls. It's just to the point that everyone is realizing that no company is drastically better or worse than the other, and when a company recalls massive numbers of its products, it throws up a red flag.

  • worst paint on any car i have owned. thin paint job. Not going to last

  • Obviously they DIDN'T make safe and reliable vehicles for 50 years or there wouldn't be any recalls. Stupid commercial.

  • @JordanRh1 Actually they DO make reliable cars. I've had my Toyota for 10 years at 240K miles with no problem other than a flat tire. I can't say the same to my GMC conversion van. Toyota has been the benchmark for reliability. They earned their reputation... So did the domestics (in a bad way).

  • @joshuakloo i agree about what your saying but you have to realize that in the past toyota has been making fine cars but then when they have started assembling there vehicles in the US the quality of there cars have dropped a lot.

  • @joshuakloo yea they are just trying to blame other companies for there mistakes and they arent taking there mistakes under there actions so therefore they have lost costumers and peoples trust.

  • Toyota is the least reliable automaker. Brought the 2009 Corolla and Camry hybrid, they both have engine problems, rattle and coolant pump replaced + lots of scratches created by dealerships while they perform the repair. In a year, more than 20+ times visiting the dealerships and deep scratches that they never responsible for. Never buy any more Toyota again.

  • i got the toyota recall done and it didnt fix the problem

  • @jd272 I don't know if dumb can be fixed, sorry mate.

  • The problems are they didn't fix it and didn't learn from it! This is why Toyota faltered. They turned a deaf ear on their consumers and the government warnings! Toyota believed they can do no wrong and became arrogant.

  • Toyota: Bakes and Steering Sold Separately!

  • So tell me, toyotausa, do yall actually know what the problem is. based on many complaints and the recent news, it seems like yall are guessing and trying to save money.

How about the Rav4 that accelerated into a waiting room of a doctors office all while the woman's foot was on the brake.

  • Toyota................"no matter how hard you try you cant stop us now"

  • @MonkiMajyk Subaru and Toyota's other related companies (Daihatsu, Hino, Denso, Aisin Seiki, Toyoda Industries, J-TEKT) have never been bankrupt...

  • Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you let your foot off the gas pedal..

Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you stomp on the brakes..

Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you shift into neutral & pull the E-brake.

Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Until it slams into the back of a semi-truck @ 110 mph

  • I was born in Western, PA...right here in the USA of Italian and German background. So, I wasn't "let in" as you say. Why don't you tell us all about this advanced technology you refer to and try to do it without using profanity or making personal attacks? The work wanker is basically meaningless here, I'm not from the UK so you might try using that term on someone from the UK the next time you feel the need to use such a term.

  • Toyota is the best! the company that made the faulty part is from indiana , not all the cars are having problems , i have a 04 corolla , 04 mr2 spyder and a 92 toyota paseo with 190,000 with no problems.

  • Toyota is moving forward..... right through a stop sign into a busy intersection

  • @REBELMACHINE69 hahahahahah

  • What about all the GM and Chrysler air bags that go off out of the blue. I personally know of three, one while driving an almost new Chevy Suburban at highway speed, an Olds Achieva while runnig without anyone even in the car and a full size Dodge van parked without even the key in it. If you look it up on the net you will see it is a very common occurance. I don't personally know of anyone with a "runaway Toyota" Why are the "North American Airbags" not on the news and in front of congress?

  • we dont hear about them because they pay off the media.. and in the case of toyota. Toyota has been the leading manufacturer of vehicles for the past several years. and that hurts the gm's sales. so of course when something goes wrong with Toyota. GM and all the other American companies jump on it and keep throwing that cash at the media to make it look worse than it really is to try to boost their sales. Funny part about the whole thing.... TOYOTA SALES KEEP GOING UP !!!!!!

  • @MonkiMajyk i dont know how more correct you can be, but you are absolutely right!

  • Honda Civic / Acura RL For The Win!!!

Toyota second time recall For The Lose...

AND WTF WHERE ARE THE JAPANESE THIS IS TOYOTA NOT FORD...

  • well toyota's are made here now...

and besides that take a peek at how many recals honda's had across the line. dont even think about looking up GM or Ford. the amount will blow your mind. and in case you think i'm just another shmo. I've been in this industry for 10 years. with my close relatives being in it for over 40.

  • Eh, now's your chance to try another automaker!

  • People don't now Toyota cars soon will run on thin air no need for petrol witch is for US government disaster this is the problem with Toyota they have the technology to destroy your sand castle . TOYOTA today and tomorrow

  • @alban14 WOW! I'd love to see your calculations to support that statement. You can rest assured that if they do have such advanced technology they likely learned or took it from the US or European country. But in your case the arguement simply holds no water whatsoever.

  • Toyota hydrogen hybrids on sale by 2015

  • = WIN!!

  • Did you hear Toyota to be merged wtth Yugo?

  • Did you hear Toyota Owns Subaru, and Several other companies that went bankrupt...

  • @MonkiMajyk Well they can't be to good if they own bankrupt companies...

  • I went to check my truck today and all they say was that Toyota does not pay for check ups. Bastards. No more Toyota for me. They only updated my computer and I think they even blew a few fuses.

  • According to Toyota "80% of Toyota's are still on the road today." The other 20% crashed cause of the recall.

    Goooo Honda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your statements are self explanatory as to your maturity on the subject.

  • I hate Toyota. They make me feel unsafe!

  • I'd still drive a Toyota over an american car...just because over the past decades Toyota has been much more reliable than most cars and this isolated incident has been taken care of with the upmost respect from Toyota. BTW, I drive a Renault....lol

  • End the monetary system, then all greed will stop.

  • The world does not need billionaires or anyone worth more than what a worker can make in a lifetime. These people I'm sure got more than enough to live on for many generations.

  • People are looking at Toyota like if they are not a company made by humans. Nothing is NEVER meant to last forever. Even the great U.S.A. will fall at one point. If Toyota fails to recover, then its there problem, and its what meant to happen...fate. The workers are human, and like each of us they will learn to cope, and find new work at some other place. There are many other car manufacture companies out there in the U.S.A.

  • "a good company will fix their mistakes a great company will learn from them"

So if they are just a great company they learn from their mistakes but they don't fix them. You can't be good and great. Then at the end of the commercial they have the balls to say "We have been doing it for 50 years". So basically I got out of this ad "We make mistakes, we know not to do it again and we have been doing it for 50years" Who the hell is in charge of the PR department??

  • thats ok if Ford and Firestone can come back any one can

  • The reason why they have those problem is half is made here in the USA why half is Made in japan and the one with the problem is the USA there the one that made the stupid gas pedal and other problems and i have a 1995 camry nothing has broken down for 15 years with 250.00 miles better then American cars

  • Your Toyota's let U down. I hate Toyota and all what it stands for.

  • I trust you, Mr. Toyoda. Thank you so much for takig your responsibility today.

I really respect you and I see Toyota will be even better company after they overcome this difficulty!!

  • As a Toyota owner, I really appreciate Mr.Toyoda come over here to be in the congress.

He was so modest and sincere during the testimony, and I was moved when I saw tear in his eye, when he was making speech to the employee after the testimony....

  • give me a break, he doesnt care.he cares about the bottom dollar, he's just trying to do damage control so he doesnt completely loose his ass, which he will.

  • I like Toyota, I'm still gonna buy two of them just to get into an accident with them. My entire family own one and they are fun and I like them. I hope that the Toyota company stays in America.

    Ford and GM SUCK!!

  • Toyota needs to get out of town, or they are going to lose more money just by staying here in the U.S.A.!!

  • TOYOTA, GET OUT OF THE U.S.A.!! your cars suck from the beginning!! too small like 'something' else in Japan! ha ha!!

  • @lucky1206 What woulkd you say to the 172,000 American workers who feed their familes because of Toyota?

  • life sucks...there are OTHER car manufacture companies in the U.S.A., isnt there?? Honda, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Audi, BMW....anything else?? I dont see anybody else making a big deal when i lost my job. Why should we worry about them because of the problem with Toyota? thats life...people have to learn to move on and strive over the problems and find a way to fix the problem other than complaining about it, and doing nothing. If any plant closes, then kind a new place to work at.

  • @lucky1206

sounds like you know all too well about small things LOL

  • oh, good comeback...how long did it take for you to come up with that?? ha ha....i fear for every Toyota out there when ever i take a walk. Im not a fan of Ford, but Ford is the most safest car manufacture out there word-for-word. Its Toyota's turn to fall now, ha ha...Saturn, Hummer, Chrysler...who else?? even though these brands might be around in a few years, but they are owned by other companies like in Japan and Europe.

-Its called survival of the fittest..get with the program.

  • This commercial sucks just like Toyota. Be smart buy a GM or Ford.

  • @Hidy24mia ur such a car racist i <3 imports more reliable than pos fords and gms

  • Too much racist people :x

  • I will never trust Toyota. They are all a bunch of criminals who hide things from people. DUMP TOYOTA! Buy Ford.

  • The parts in the recalled vehicles were made by american companies!!!!!! Cars of the same model in japan have no recall because the parts are made in japan!!!THIS IS THE U.S.A's fault !!!!!

  • I think that it is an inside job by the administration to de-industrialize the U.S so that the elite can turn the U.S. into a nature reserve in tandem with their depopulation schemes! To many coincidences turn out to be non coincidences. Too many false flag issues coming up.

  • Damn! Over 8 million cars recalled worldwide! Toyota should just give it up! Obviously, they don't know what they're doing!

  • Toyota is such a bunch of scum bags! -- Damn! --I feel like calling 911 when I see one of these dangerous cars on the road!

  • The parts in the recalled vehicles were made by american companies!!!!!! Cars of the same model in japan have no recall because the parts are made in japan!!!THIS IS THE U.S.A's fault !!!!!

  • This is a japanese company and so the problem originated from Japan!!!

  • Actually Ford used these pedals on a van they sold in the Chinese market and Ford now has a recall as well for the same problem. The problem is CTS, not Toyota. There are several other vehicles from other automakers pending recalls for these faulty CTS pedals worldwide now that the initial US recall on Toyotas has hit.

  • LOL. on my way home i drove past a Toyota dealership. i thought i saw a 2010 for 11,000

  • hell, they'd have to pay me to take one of these crappy cars. There's no sense in having a crappy car like this if nothing works!

  • Why does this commercial focus on the american workers? The problem originated in japan with their engineers. japan refused to recognize this problem, japan doesn't care about americans safety, they just want your money!! Wake up AmericA ! THIS AD IS AN INSULT TO OUR WORKERS!!!

  • Not a Toyota fan, not thinking little of the deaths. But this seems way blown out of proportion. There are bigger more dangerous things on the road. Evertime i see someone talking on there phone or texting, that seems WAY more dangerous. Come on people think what your focusing on.

  • @shonniemichael Finally...someone with something intelligent to say.

  • I am at a loss whether I will buy a car of GM.

After all is GM of USA the number one in the world?

  • these cars should be banned from our roads until this is fixed. how many more people need to get hurt

  • Toyota KILLED my next door neighbor last year because her RAV4 suddenly took off while backing out of her driveway.

SHAME ON YOU TOYOTA for trying to sweep this problem under the rug. It WASN'T the floor mats as you claimed.

Her family is now part of a class action suit against Toyota for 600 million dollars.

This is the end ot Toyota in the U.S.

  • I like my 98 Corolla and will drive it into the ground. Whether or not I buy another Toyota completely depends on how you guys handle this. I would definitely not buy a 2010 Corolla.

  • I wouldn't ever buy one from this point out...

  • "Believe me, Toyotas car is safety"

    By President of TOYOTA

  • Yes keep focusing away from the people who ruined the world economy and keep beating the scapegoat.

  • TOYOTA IS DECEPTIVE!

  • Toyota - moving you forward.... even if you don't always want to....

  • this commercial is bs and their company

  • And im sure the big three have never cut corners. o.0

  • That would be impossible. Too many American's would be pissed about shutting them off. Such as myself with Toyota. LOL

  • I just wanted to point out a flaw in your comment. A. I am studying to be a mechanical engineer. B. I am white. C. I am American. D. I am FEMALE. and F. I would LOVE to work for Toyota, one of my dreams actually. Research and Development would rock.

  • Good for you, but where's the flaw Einstein? I would love to work for NASA, but saying that doesn't mean I do work for NASA. BTW, why should Toyota hire you when there are millions of more qualified, diligent workers whom can speak Japanese located in Japan and China at a much lower average salary? Hopefully they have an affirmative action policy so you can Obama your way to the top.

  • Seems your forgetting about all the US plants. Nothing says I can't learn Japanese. Besides, one of their research and development plants is located in I beleive new Mexico (or Arizona). Btw I hate Obama, so don't bring him up because I don't even want to hear about him lol

  • Well, with all due respect Mr. Toyoda. Not every company produces millions of 2 ton machines that can carry 5 or so people at speeds over 100 mph. Your "mistake" is goddamn catastrophe in my opinion.

  • HONDA RULES!!

  • Honda SUCKS!!!

  • Everycar company runs into trouble. i'd say i would still buy a toyota however i would make sure it has the fix. (well on any car i would do that) I hope they recover, and idk why there are so many idiots blaimming 'Japs' for toyota's error. japan has NOTHING to do with this so stfu and respect. toyota's origin is just FROM Japan stupid!

~I am referring this to all racists.

  • @rampampulis And what would you say to the 172,000 Americans who put food on the table of their families because of Toyota?

  • Hahah wow. I didn't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for Toyota. I don't think it's that big of a problem with the pededals. Every car at one point has a major or minor recall... Thts why I drive a BMW ;)

  • korean hate Japan without the correct reason.

    intershark is a korean.

  • The Evil Empire of Jap will strike back.

  • Hopefully, they introduce FT-86 in the u.s. soon....

  • Next car I buy next will be Toyota again. I have owned corolla, tacoma, and now 2gen prius. None of them had problem at all and they are so durable and reliable,,,, compared to my fist car which was GM.....

  • They forgot to mention the criminal case opened against them! HAHA

  • JapTraps

  • THATS it Toyota.

This has gone too far. Now the media is saying you BS'd out of the recall in 2007 too keep 100 million dollars.

Now I can understand a recall. But waiting 3 years??? Thats not acceptable

You have lost a customer Toyota...... until you can man up and take a Recall the REAL WAY

  • Wow...must suck for Toyota to be the first automobile manufacturer to have a recall. I guess the government is going to make an example out of them. Good thing all of those other manufacturers have never had to recall any of their vehicles.

  • other manufactures dont cover it up as badly, which is the main issue they are lying and are still lying about it

  • its all about honda !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TOYOTA's is MOVING BACKWARDS not FORWARD

  • buy domestic buy usa

  • Please bring the FT-86 to the US and as well the G's version!!!!! and every toyota fan is going to be happy!!!

  • HAHA trying to make us feel bad for their mistakes.

  • @MacPowerBook what about the Over 2 million sludge prone toyota motors have been reported in many different toyota models. this has also been reported to cause a fire in affected models. and 110K of the Toyota tundra's have be recalled because of rust, models from 2000 to 2009. and A former attorney for Toyota contends in a lawsuit the Japanese automaker concealed information. Toyota told dealers Tuesday to immediately quit selling new and used cars and trucks that it recalled on Jan. 21

  • What about the GM recall of 3.6 million pickups because of injuries linked to corrosion of the trucks' tailgate cables? What about the recall of 14 MILLION cars since fires could start from Ford's faulty cruise control switches?GM's 1.5 million car engine fire recall? What about Ford conveniently "misplacing" tests done about testing of the vehicles after the implications of 103 explorer deaths? Yeah, Toyota told dealers to stop selling the vehicles. Ford did it too with their super duty trucks.

  • @MacPowerBook and yet Toyota had more deaths on there hands because there recalls were more harmful, 1.5 million cars were predicted to catch fire with no warning and they did, Ford fixed there problem but Toyota is still of the choping block.

  • Did you not read anything? Toyota had more deaths? Really, Ford had 103 deaths in the EXPLORER ALONE. According to Consumer Affairs, In 2008, more than 1.8 million Ford Motor Co. cars and trucks remain at risk of erupting into flames 5 MONTHS after the automaker recalled an additional 3.6 million vehicles because of a fire hazard in the cruise control system. Ford was unable to buy or manufacture enough parts to repair all of the vehicles involved in the recall. Toyota is fixing their problems.

  • @MacPowerBook And yet again, the floor mat recall of the 9 MILLION Toyota cars and trucks is only half of the problem, some cars even started accelerating even when the gas pedal was not under the floor mat and was fully retracted. The CPU was also found to blame for some of the crashes and deaths of Toyota drivers, Toyota has done nother with the CPU, So the fixed models are not really fixed at all. they just cut the risk by 50% but the risk is still there.

  • The CPU problem hasn't been proven or disproven yet by the Fed. Citing it as a problem is pure speculation until a justifiable source has made a conclusive study that it is in fact the cause.

  • @MacPowerBook but what is toyota doing about it in the mean time?

  • In December, Toyota hired an independent firm, Exponent, to investigate the electronic throttles, the firm said their investigators couldn't find the trouble. Toyota and the NHTSA were unable to find any electronic engine control system malfunction to be the cause of unintended acceleration. The NHTSA is doing another study this year to further investigate electronic problems. To be honest with you, I'm waiting for the Fed to do a review on this issue.

  • @MacPowerBook NHTSA is under fire at the moment because congress wants to ask them why they did not ask for documentation from Toyota at the time when the first case of the CPU failer happend, so it will be a while before they do another CPU test. In the mean time I think Toyota sould at least say the Might be a problem with it instead of people having to find the whole story of the CPU on there own.

  • We both know that no company will admit to a fault until it is proven.

Slightly off topic, but you may not have heard that GM is having their ex-CEO rejoin the company as an adviser, work 20 hours per month, and get a $700,000 annual salary. Can I say fail to GM, who still owes us from the bailout? To be fair, GM is actually paying us back unlike our 7 billion dollar "loan" to Chrysler which won't. GM and Chrysler executives have wrecked their own company.

  • @MacPowerBook Akio Toyota gets MUCH more than any GM worker wether its the top dog or the guy that just washes cars. The fact is GM is stepping up, The Buick Brand is topping Lexus on after the other, The chevy Volt is rated to get 200+ MPG when fully charged, and lets not forget the ZR1 which is faster than the Lexus LFA but 3 times cheaper.

  • The only reason GM kept Buick around is that it is huge in China. The primary market for Buick in the US is and has for decades been the blue-haired set, and that group is shrinking daily. I would much rather have seen Pontiac kept. They were putting out some interesting vehicles finally. The Holden Commodore based G8 was amazing! The GXP was a bargain basement BMW M5! But they chose to keep the brand of the old and decrepit around instead.

  • Not that I'm letting Toyota off the hook. In the leas 2 decades, they've pursued the Buick crowd hot and heavy with the increasingly bland Camry and uber boring Avalon, not to mention pulling all sports cars from the US market. I would much rather have seen them import cars like the Chaser and Crown... RWD with big inline 6's and turbos with stick shifts. I'd love to see a Supra again BUT NO V6!!! That's not an engine for a Supra!

  • I honestly don't know what Akio Toyoda's salary is, and I doubt you know unless you can show me a reliable source. In 2007, Toyotas top 32 executives including then CEO Katsuaki Watanabe pulled in $7.8 million in bonuses on top of salaries of $12.1 million. For the comparable period, one single GM exec, CEO Rick Wagoner, raked in $10.2 million.

  • GM was responsible for the loss of NUMMI, you're just such a baby you won't admit it. Expecting Toyota to keep NUMMI while making a viable profit is ludicrous. GM closed its plants because of its bankruptcy- which was caused by THEIR inefficiency to keep up with the changing demands of the market. I'll stick with my Toyota and Honda, you can enjoy buying a new car every year after your POS "American" brand car breaks.

  • @MacPowerBook My American car has 200,000 Miles on it, if your going to say my car sucks you better have somthing to back it up with.

  • Good for you, you probably have a 1 in a million POS "American" car that has 200,000 miles. There are tons of cars just like that. Most of them are probably not American, but that's just an assumption. Domestic cars are still dominated by brands such as Toyota and Honda in reliability ratings.

  • @MacPowerBook Think again. Motor trend as rated Domestic's in 2 out of the three segments, Car of the year is the ford fusion, Truck of the year Ford F-150, the sport/utility went to subaru. but two out of three isnt bad, considering Toyota got NONE!!!

  • Okay, but that is Motor Trend's opinion, and that has nothing to do with reliability. Consumer Reports which bases its information off of studies, states that while Ford leads the Domestic Reliability ratings, Asian Brands such as Toyota, Hyundai/Kia, Honda, Subaru, and Nissan still dominate. Of the 48 models with top reliability scores, 36 were Asian. Toyota accounted for 18; Honda, eight; Nissan, four; and Hyundai/Kia and Subaru, three each.

  • Consumer Reports does not get it's auto data from studies, it gets it auto data from surveys of CR subscribers. CR reports are flawed because of the types of people that buy different brands of cars. Imports are more likely to be southern, suburban cars that get taken to the dealer for scheduled maintanance. Domestics are more likely to be northern, rural cars that are worked on by the owner. CR takes none of the owners characteristics into accounts in their surveys.

  • Interestingly enough, the Fusion is based on the platform of the 1st generation Mazda 6. The resurrected Taurus (500) is based on the Volvo S80 platform, and the Focus is a European platform. So it looks to me that Ford owes much of their new-found quality on the foreign brands they dumped to keep themselves afloat when times got tough.

  • @primusconvoy Ford own parts of mazda and volvo, there is even Ford motors in some Volvo's aswell as volvo motor in Fords. We came up with the mazda 3's and that gay miata thing, but none the less Ford owns like 40% of mazda.

  • @stephen Just saying it's interesting that it's interesting Ford's resurgence is based on underpinnings they acquired from companies they purchased rather than platforms they developed on their own. And Ford recently sold Volvo to the Chinese. Just couldn't afford to keep it anymore. Like Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin before it. Don't be srprised if they start shedding their Mazda stock before long as well. That's about all they've got left to sell to keep in the black.

  • And Ford recalled everything quickly are you kidding me? In 2009 they were recalling vehicles as old as 17 years old. The oldest car toyota in the pedal error is recalling is 5 years old.

  • @MacPowerBook 17 years ago the recalled car/truck had no problems what-so-ever, just now did it start having problems, they fixed it right then and there, they had no reports of a problem untill 2009, notice as soon as they found out about it, they did somthing about it. unlike toyota that had to w8 for 16-20 people to die before they even said anything about it. Akio Toyoda (the big man in charge) does not even drive his own cars, he drives an audi, shows how much faith he has in his cars hu?

  • Maybe you haven't heard of the Ford Explorer recall in where Ford was implicated on 103 DEATHS due to Ford's carelessness of testing. Toyota has been linked to 34 deaths in the pedal recall. If you're going to try to overblow the situation with Toyota, you should check out your beloved Ford, GM, and Chrysler first. You forgot to mention how AUDI was a Sponsor/Strategic Partner in the Davos-Switzerland 2010 World Economic Forum while Toyota wasn't. Hmm...That's why Akio Toyoda wasn't in a Toyota.

  • I've read an interview long time ago "Carlos Ghosn drives Porsche", now I'm not sure if he's still driving it but seems like many CEOs love german cars

  • So u accept the American cars are running after 17 years.

  • well stephenbuick i will never by a car made by gm and chrysler and you know what toyota assembles there cars here and give work to more than 170,000 american people ironically the malibu has problem with the transmission clip and cobalt has problem that the steering quits on you when you drive and why doesn't the government says anything to them conflict of interest and besides gm and chrysler and ford make there cars in mexico and canada i will never buy one of those inferior trashy gm cars

  • toyota oh what a feeling. to get screwed

  • @stephenBquick Ford had 17 recalls last year.

  • Toyota - moving forward...even when you don't want to.

  • @unauthorizedentry01 Wow...that's a new one.

  • i love toyota so much!!!!

  • Great Job Toyota!!! Thanks for putting the customer safety first.

  • Honda > Toyota.

  • Toyota all the way!!!!

  • I take Toyota - what else!

  • I can't understand why the media is like this, I appreciate Toyota and I love that company...

  • I am from Arabia , i have been riding and driving Toyota for Years , I can surely say " Toyota is the best car company ever ".

Fixing the mistake and admitting it makes toyota moves forward

  • I'd like to know why Toyota entered a voluntary pedal recall without having a single piece of physical evidence. This is the first recall in history where the subject part could not be displayed showing an obvious fault. Isn't it true that Toyota believes that all the investigated public complaints are due to driver error and not a faulty part or system? Isn't it true that the EDR in the Lexus crash was not accessed? Isn't it true that anyone thinking of suing Toyota will likely lose?

  • Toyota,

    you get there faster
