  • the original singer was called Katla and he was very finn...

  • Brilliant song, makes my mind fill up with nothing that the allmighty force of nature...

Notice the very distant yoik 1.20 and onwards... makes the sogn even more deep

  • Indeed, everything have went to ice here. It's mid vinter and below -16 degres celsius in Gothenburg, Sweden right now.

  • this type of sound does remind me of my childhood years when i loved fantasy stories about trolls, dragons etc

  • This is pure epicness, soul music. Makes me long to the winter, here in sweden :)

Anyway, cant stop imagine that the crunch-sounds in the background comes from a fat dude eating chips and digging in his bag of chips :p

  • @TramsStudios1

you had to ruin this song for me?

  • @TramsStudios1

Lmao! Damn it you ruined the song! :(

    It's still awesome though

  • @TramsStudios1 Hahaha, cold and crispy chips! Fat dude: Uuh.. the winter is comming.. must get fater..!

  • It's great!

  • Hm, not bad. However you misspelled "Närr", it's supposed to be "När". I'm not sure why but the titles of their music is in swedish even though they are finnish themselves. The title of this one means "When everything turns to ice".

I suppose it's a reference to the norse paganism event called the Fimbultvinter, the prelude to the Ragnarok.

  • @DaKillerSheep

Even though they are Finnish, all but one of their songs are actually in Swedish. The original songwriter for the band was part of the Swedish-speaking minority in Finland. They continued writing in Swedish after that.

  • @kaztheberserk which song isnt in swedish, is it in finnsih

  • @DaKillerSheep

One of the preludes. Fimbulvinter is second, three consecutive Winters without Spring, Summer nor Autmn to break it. Then a cockrel in Valhalla will crow on the dawn of Ragnorok. I can't remember the first omen...

  • @DaKillerSheep The original vocalist was sweden. ^^

  • @FelipeHermod I hope you mean swedish.

  • @FelipeHermod and he wasn't really he was a swedish speaking finn

  • thanks for uploading!
