soooooo stupid... Yes it is a big wave... a really big one (once the world record surfed big wave, if I remember right), but it is not in a storm. It was spawned by a huge pacific storm, travveld over 1000ds of miles, and hit than Hawaii, on a very nice calm day, ideal conditions to surf for the Billabong big wave contest. There are also some other waves on tube surfed during really bad stormy conditions... Look and compare storm vs. calm...

This isn't a tsunami or a hurricane. It's just a record-breaking wave at Jaws in Hawaii...national geographic even documented this. It was like 85+ feet O_o that's not just crazy, it's in-fucking-sane. I think that wave is called Waimei also known as Jaws found on the north shore of Maui. The ocean floor is curved like a quarter pipe and shoots the water up about 7 stories in the winter. I'd ride it if I didn't have a familly and would definitly use a board with foot straps.
