  • Hey Mark big fan first time commenter - I was hoping you could do some more East Coast beers. I am from the East Coast and would love to see more of your reviews for beers in this neck of the woods! Some of the Western beers are hard to find in PA. Thanks man keep up the good work!

  • @nbalz19 First off, thanks for the support! I will try to get some more Eastern beers reviewed. Stay tuned!

  • I'm drinking this now and It is incredible! Perfect review as usual Mark, keep it up buddy!

  • @funkstrman Thanks for the support. Cheers!

  • Hey man, love ur reviews.. I just have to ask... did it take you a couple hours to drink, like u said? Lol. I bought this beer in a similar situation.. movie and a dessert beer after a nice steak and potato dinner. I think I had it finished in about 15-20 mins.... Maybe that was just me.. But man! What a wondeful stout, yes?

  • @Dwright2020 Glad you like the reviews. It took me about an hour to drink the bottle, but it was so good. Thanks for the support!

  • rogue chocolate stout is my favorite stout i've tried, great review

  • the spiderman movies are great! what other movies do you like?

  • @dreamcast65 I like most movies but like most guys, if a movie has lots of action/explosions I seem to like it more than my wife. Thrillers and "who done it" movies are also fun, as are science fiction.

  • This may be sacrilegious to the almighty beer entity...but you should try something. I'm not a heavy drinker...but I love craft beers. I'll drink one every week. The occasional two. Anyway. I proposed a night with a few friends to try beer floats. We sampled 10 different beers over the course of a month with vanilla ice cream. (Bryers, was our choice.) Rogue's Double Chocolate Stout...which I hadn't tried previously...was my favorite float. The beer alone was good...but try a float. WOW!

  • @Jubakuba Beer Floats are definitely awesome. I make them myself from time to time and this beer makes a damn good one. Young's Double Chocolate Stout is another good beer float beer. Cheers!

  • PS.. IS that a projector? Nice.

Nice glass too. I need some good glasses. I'm drinkin' these good beers but I'm limited to glasses. Need to fix that. Spiderman ftw!! :)

    Peace man.

  • @mesuhlikemusic Yeah, it is a projector. It definitely makes movies enjoyable. We use it a fair amount in the Winter.

  • Hey man. Great review. Great beer. I subbed. Someone i wasn't subbed this whole time. Whenever i try an outstanding new beer that i haven't had, i youtube it. Usually either you, Joe D, or Chad pop up.. Seen quite a few of your reviews. All good. Good choice in brews too. I have lived in Oregon my whole life. All 21 years of it. I am proud of Rogue. One of the few things that makes me proud to be an Oregonian. Peace Joe. Er...Chad....no.... What was your name? Didn't catch it.

  • @mesuhlikemusic Thanks for the kind words! I have fun doing these reviews so it's nice when people enjoy watching them. Rogue is a very good brewery and Oregon is a great place to live, many people (especially beer geeks) would love to live there. My name's Mark. Cheers!

  • Hey, do you know if they sell this in Savannah, Ga? I haven't seen it, but both you and jjdaven said it was a really good beer. So I want to try it. Thanks.

  • @DrScotchDrinker I'm pretty sure it would be available there. It's all over the place here in Atlanta. Definitely try it, it's a great beer!

  • @VideoBeerReviews

Thanks man. Yesterday, I was going to go searching around for it, but it was raining (with hail) so bad that my neighborhood was flooding. Going to make a second attempt today. Keep up the awesome reviews!

  • Im wondering how does this compare to Young's Double Chocolate Stout...

  • @bsilver887 They are both great beers. I think the Rogue is a little bit better but it's very close.

  • @bsilver887 i got more chocolate from this beer than youngs DOUBLE, but they both are good. youngs is really really smooth though, try it

  • @smakzilla Yeah, I've tried Young's several times. Excellent and balanced taste. Sadly can't find much of Rogue's stuff in Montreal.

  • Awesome reviews! I'm glad I found your channel :)

  • @metalhead252525 Thanks! Hope you enjoy my reviews.

  • great review because of this video I ended trying it myself excellent beer

  • @orginalsin2014 I'm glad you liked the review and it prompted you to try the beer. Cheers!

  • great tasty beer but I thought alittle carbonated. I prefer milk stouts or notro beers

  • @worlddaylife I didn't have problems with the carbonation but a good nitro beer is a wonderful thing!

  • having this for the first time tonight...$4.99...lucky you. i just paid $7 for the bomber, but i've heard such good things about it i just had to try it.

  • @qqqqqqqqqqqqpppppzzz It's a good beer, especially for $5. How did you like it?

  • @VideoBeerReviews Loved it. Dark chocolate, then followed by more dark chocolate, and then more. haha. There was definitely some bitterness in there to let you know it's still a beer though, but i like that. Great beer. Wish it was cheaper here. $7 is a bit steep.

  • This is one of my my favorite beers! Just got some yesterday after not having it in a while. Very chocolaty, then woody-ish after taste. I did taste coffee in the one that I had last year, but not in the one from this year. Still excellent though! I bought 6 bottles at $5.58 here :( . Some, the ladies shirt is red, and the others are brown...not sure if there is a difference, but probably not!

  • @spazchicken1 It is an excellent beer for sure. Try to keep 1 of those bottles in the fridge for a year or so to see what it tastes like and report back next April (if you can wait that long) :-)

  • just tried this beer. excellent in my opinion. still have 2 more bombers left in the fridge.

  • @erics2056 It's good stuff, like drinking a carbonated dark chocolate bar!

  • Where can I get this beer? I'm dying to try it after seeing your review. Thanks!

  • My suggestion would be to go to rogue's website and see where they are distributed. If you can get other Rogue beers in your area, talk to someone at your beer store and see what they can do.

  • Music?

  • The music I'm using is some royalty free stuff from Kevin MacLeod. The web sight is Incompetech.

  • great review.

gonna stop by Bevmo on the way home and give RCS a try.

  • Let me know what you think of it.

  • net flix is great. we especially like watching all the instant movies on the tv.

  • We haven;t used the live streaming yet but we will probably upgrade our dvd player and connect it to the computer later this year.

  • i thought this was great, until i had st chokolat. if you come across it get it. but this is still a geat beer. wow you never seen spider man 3. what took so long. rogue is one of my 3 favorite breweries. good review

  • Southern Tier Chocolate is fantastic!

  • indeed. feel free to check out my review of it.

  • That Chokolat sounds fantastic! I'll check out you review of it. Yeah, it took us a while to see Spiderman 3 but we enjoyed it. We almost never go to the movies since we have a decent home theatre setup in the basement. I just line up my movies on Netflix and go through the list. We watch 1-2 movies a week in the Winter and <1/week in the Summer.

  • very cool.

  • going to have a sierra nevada 13th annual harvest wet hop ale tonight...... amazing beer....2.99 24 oz bomber on sale here in kansas city. best 2.99 beer i know of. wish i had a video camera so i could do my first review. may try it on my digital camera

  • $3 for that beer is great! I think I paid $4.99 which is still a good deal based on the quality of the beer.

  • tried it last night.....very very good 10 minutes out of fridge. i enjoyed this stout at a bit cooler temperature than usual. as it warmed up to 55-60 degrees i had alot more hops coming through both in smell and finish which i normally like, but it seemed to take away from the chocolate. this is the only stout i can think of in which i liked better at around 45-50 degrees.... i would say it was one of the best stouts i have had so far. along with peche mortel, mikkeller, and founders.

  • I also got a bit more hops as the beer warmed. The chocolate flavor is fantastic. I would put this up against the Mikkeller and Founder's as well.

  • Mark, I am not surprised by your reaction to this beer one bit. I tried it around my birthday back in September and absolutely dug it, so I knew you would probably dig it, too. After all the rain and cold out here, it very well may be about time to have another one.

    Good review as always.

  • Yeah, it is a great beer! Winter is the perfect time for these types of beers. I've got plenty more Stout reviews on the way!

    Glad you enjoyed the review.

  • Are you going to review the Young's Double Chocolate

    soon?

  • Yup, probably this weekend and post it next week. I'm also going to be doing a Beef Stew/Stout pairing that I'm making tonight for dinner.

  • Excellent, I'll look forward to it.

  • 4.99 is a great price for that. I think that's at least 6 or 7 bucks here. Great review bro. I'll have to scoop that next time I'm at the beer store.

  • Yeah, the taxes on beer aren't as bad here in GA as they are in a lot of places. Still too high though. $7 for this beer is still worth it!

  • It seems that everyone is loving a good chocolate stout these days. Great review Mark!

  • @Imasofat Chocolate Stout at this time of year is almost a "requirement" :-) I'm happy to comply!

  • great review....... i am sold.... i will pick this beer up today since it is available here in kansas city. i have tried rogue's ipa and imperial stout. both were very good.... bigpapykane...the gonzo stout is awesome....hunter s thompson would be proud.

  • @cpalmer2312 Let me know what you think of the beer once you've tried it. Enjoy!

  • Good review! I've had one of these saved up for some time and I can't wait to try it! I have had the Shakespeare Stout and I thought it was great. I hope this one is even better. I recommend the Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Stout its really good!

  • @bigpapykane If you like chocolate, then I think you'll like the beer. Shakespeare is a great beer but has a lot less chocolate in the flavor. I'd drink either one anytime!. I've had the Flying Dog Gonzo and it is very good.

  • Another Rogue beer I've heard a lot of good things about but have never tried myself. Very good review!

  • @DenisLD Try this one if you ever get a chance, it's worth it!

    Glad you enjoyed the review.

  • Nice to see you review my #3 favorite beer of all time... at least until recently when I had "Choklat" by Southern Tier. I never thought I'd find a better chocolate beer than this but I did (will be posting that review soon).

What I like about this beer is that it has a noticeably hop bit to it. It's 60 IBUs so the dark chocolate and the hops match very well along with the nice roasty taste.

$5 for you!? Nice! It's like $8 here!

You should post thias a video response my or jay's review

  • @Chad9976 I can see why it's (at least for now) in your top 3, I loved it! The hop /bitter chocolate bite at the end was very nice.

Rogue seems to be decently priced down here. I won't complain about $5/bottle, that's for sure.

  • Rogue knows what they are doing, every beer I have had from them was damn good. I have had this beer I did think it was really good but I do not think I got as much chocolate as you. Great Review!

  • @Tantrum777 I got a ton of chocolate and enjoyed all of it! This is a fantastic beer, another winner from Rogue!

  • great review! gotta love rogue brewery! i've yet to find their chocolate stout here in Canada!

  • Keep looking for it because it is a great beer!
