I have never seen someone care more about his people than Gen. Pace. I am a midshipman (nothing in the scheme of things in the Navy/ Marines) and met him briefly. 7 month later he recalled my full name and our last conversation. I am not even really important but he still cared about me that much. He is an amazing leader and the best officer I have ever encountered, Period.
