thank you for sharing that....I wondered how she learned so many different words...ya'll are excellent teachers...with a lot of patience....and she is such an intelligent sweetie!! thank you!!!
My Grey seems to like me to repeat his words better than he likes to repeat mine. He will say the first 2 syllables of a sentence, word or phrase & wait for me to finish. We were teaching him to be a pirate bird many years ago.. He had learned 'shiver me timbers' and also 'pieces of eight.' he said 'shiver.' and then i would says. "shiver me timbers." etc. we noticed him doing this right around the same time that we were teaching him "blow me down." we never said that again.
I love the way you express how you teach her, it is the same exact thing we do with our grey- they learn what they wanna learn and sometimes even come up with things you never thought to teach!!
if i had a parrot tht could talk i would teach it how to say disney things like walt disney or little mermaid or mickey mouse and stuff like tht since i am a major disney and disneyland fan
your bird has class to. swears can be funny but class is showing better resulting in nore intrest. she much more likable adorable. so classy and fun funny to. :)
I actually am more amused by the initial vocalizations than the completed phrase. It's very funny to hear her riffing on the sounds and making them into something different, that she's invented.
Do the guardians of Animal Planet Pet Stars Einstein know about your Einstein? How cool if the two Einsteins could meet for a play-date. I'd love to see video of that.
OMG! This is exactly what we do with Ozzy, one of our Greys. It is amazing how it works. He even picks up things we don't try to teach him, that he hears us say in our everyday rountine. Not unlike your bird. We have two other Greys, one says a few things, the other doesn't utter a word. We love them all the same. Whether the talk or not! We love to follow Einstien. She's a hoot!
My CG talks a lot and takes words and puts them together. My Quaker sings Old McDonald. Darlin' finally got interested and is at: quack quack quack ho. lol
I love that you say you would love Einstein whether she talked or not. I have 2 cockatoos - one has never spoken a word and the other never shuts up! I love and cherish them both the same.
Great video! I am trying to expand Dolly's vocabulary. But WB Caiques are not the talkers that Greys are. She LOVES to watch and listen to Einstein. Thanks for posting these.
I miss my late Grey Simon terribly. But I love "visiting" with Einstein and other birds here on youtube. Einstein cracks me up, and gives me my Grey "fix" for the day. Thanks Einstein! :)
<3 <3 that bird reminds me of my african grey! mine is named mickey. we teach her the same way, but do u reccomend the track player? we put it next to her for a day sometimes and she does it perfectly. but if you know any other way i would love to know!
This just makes me so happy!
