So, Steve had already decided come what may, he was going to be a comic. That was HIS sacrifice for his dream of making people laugh & being famous. Mary says they lived together from '89-'96 & were married '96-2005. So, she benefited, tremendously, from his hard work & sacrifice during their relationship.HE planted the seed & did the REAL WORK!
