  • it's not a salad but more of gravy sauce with dust in it.

  • in 2 tagen hab ich meinen ..... kanns kaum abwarten XD

  • Is this synth usable in a live setting? like how do you recover patches quickly and not have to scroll through endless menus

  • tis' not a salad

  • Im from Germany, i have played many german synths and i visited once the NI central in Berlin and the Korg Manufactury :)

Thank you all for the nice words n_n

PS: ill get the blofeld in the next time ;)

  • I'M WAITING FOR THE BLACK ONE......NEXT WEEK......

  • I hate Gearwire, their demos are so crappy!

  • Not enough knobs for me. Hard to program but sounds great.

  • @mattsynth have you tried using it? it's incredibly easy to program even with a basic knowledge of synthesis.

  • I love the screen on this thing and how there are graphical representations of your adjustments.

  • Hellow i just purchased a blofeld and i am running off of logic. now i have my midi out of my sound card to the midi in of the blofeld as well as the stereo outs going to inputs 1 and 2 of my sound card. The problem is i cannot get any sound to come out of my blofeld i have a midi track made set to ch 1 and a audio track on stereo set to ch 1 and 2 with the "I" selected , still cannot get sound yet the midi light on the Blofeld lights up every time i hit a key on my midi keyboard. What do i do?

  • @brandontripz press the r button?

  • this synth reminds me of graphing calculators

  • interesting video description

  • Nice video. Got a review on one of these for our website the other day, but for people like me who didn't get to use it, its much better to see and hear something working as well as read what someone has to say on it! Keep up the good work

  • great demo :)

  • wow! a beautiful machine! exist some soft synth with the quality and power like blofeld? or definitive HARDWARE is the real thing to make professional music?

    thanks.

  • @remixerone Waldorf's Largo probably has 90% of the sound you'd find in the Blo. also bear in mind that the musician makes music, not its instruments :) there's plenty of good sounding softsynths which can bring you quality like digital hardware, though imho there are digital hw synths which still deliver better quality than software (namely, Access, Clavia, Waldorf and probably Kurzweil). The difference will get thinner over the time, probably.

  • @R31Bi In communist Russia, Blofeld plays you

  • @dextermeth in Soviet Russia, music makes musicians.

  • @R31Bi theres just that connection with the hardware though. All of the knobs and sliders right in front of you.

  • @TheDLovas couldn't agree more. But from a "tool only" pov, I don't really find hardware _necessary_ (apart for the obvious fast computer and good monitoring (converters+monitors)). There's people that think quality comes from hardware, whereas an accurate choice of sounds, fantasy, experience, mixing skills are the actual most important. The connection and inspiration brought by feeling an instrument (or a toy :) ) in front of you are what makes it fun for me - it might not work for everyone.

  • @R31Bi that is true. :)

  • haha great, this intro music came in a james bond movie^^ that matches blofeld

  • LOL "From Russia with Love" at the beginning- I think somebody just couldn't resist the James Bond reference here...

  • How does the supersaw sounds you can get on this compare to the TI?

  • Ever had Waldorf Salad. It's not bad.

    I love my Blofeld.

  • Hi,

Thanks for posting these videos. It helped me choose ! I got my Blofeld just lately.

Feel free to listen to my first compilation on it - look for :

    Waldorf Blofeld sounds and presets

    ittaital

  • got one of these after all the soft synths I tried always seemed to lack real punch/presence. had two options: invest some serious (200gbp+ is serious for me anyway) cash in software (my soundcard is good), or go with the blofeld. Cant explain why but the sound is so much better than a soft synth. It can sound as nice or as nasty as you like with plenty of options for creating sublety/chaos

  • I would guess it's running at 96KHz (i would like to know). VST's sound better at 96KHz than say 44 but also eats proportionally more processing power. I'd guess getting a VST to sound as a Blofeld and have 25 voice polyphony would eat most of the CPU cycles of a decent PC. Seems to definitely be worth its price :)

  • @firehandszarb your words made me buy it!

  • Four words:

    Access Virus.

    Waldorf blofeld.

    Oh Deutschland!

  • @ORUPRANKSTAZ thats six words... :)

  • @detroitcalling

The "Oh Deutschland" was separate. lol

  • Germans are amazingly well organized and structured at theire work... Thats why devices like that are so great...

  • Yeah, because the Blofeld isn't wrought with serious bugs and crash issues. This is a seriously plagued synth. You should have a look at waldorf's forums, it's a party of hate in there.

It's a great synth for what it does, but it has serious caveats and a terrible attitude problem.

  • @RareAirSupply

Hell yeah. And if you think synths are the only thing germans make that kick ass, i have 2 words for you-

    Heckler & Koch

  • @Omegashadowyoshi HUMAN BASE

  • @RareAirSupply Stereotypes are awesome!

  • i have the demo for ableton live but i dont understand shit on it! SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT PLEEEEEASE

  • It has a tutorial in it. Read them, you'll be ok.

  • ok thanks

  • lmao THIS COMMENT MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD it's so honest LOL

i know man, i cant figure out Ableton live either. LOL
