The existence of Christians who still believe in their god in the face of suffering does not invalidate the Problem of Suffering. It REMAINS a valid argument against the existence of an omniscient, omnipotent, omnibenevolent god.
I've never heard god whisper, speak or shout. What a crock. And what would a god who shouts in my pain do for me? Instead of shouting perhaps he should cure. Oh wait, God never cures anyone.
God makes feet like the feet of the deer? Deers are slow, they are prey. What a terrible analogy. Could you stuff any more dumb quotes in this video? lol
C'mon, this lady is clinging onto hope. Everyone with a brain can see this.
I am currently reading "I choose everything; embracing life in the face of terminal illness" written by Jozanne Moss & Michael Wenham both of whom have Motor Neuron Disease. It is a very blessed book and I would recommend it to anyone whose heart God has touched through Jozanne's remarkable faith and courage.
What kind of idiocy, is it to believe in the existance, muchless the love and ultra benevolence, of an entity that would demonstrate such sadism and cruelty, to such a lovely lady?? I don't blame this lady - The fantasy is doubtless the only hope she has to hold to.
It's heartbreaking - and a disgraceful thing to exploit for propaganda!
Have you listened to her testimony at all? Given her dire circumstances, there is no possible way that Jozanne's hope can in any way be fraudulent! What hope do YOU cling to - your own ability to rescue yourself? Ouch!
Moreover, what is your basis for making value judgments about anything, least of of all, about God!
@osks Yes - I listened to her testimony and many like her who's lives are so void of hope that they cling to belief in mystic superstition. The hotels, in places like Lourds, are stuffed with such people.
It is criminal that you people use them to promote your superstitions.
Reason and empiricism is the basis on which I judge everything - including your superstitious beliefs - which are found wanting in it's light!!
@osks "Do you want to suggest that pure reason and empiricism are sufficient methods"
Whether it's "sufficient" or not , it's all we have!! Lol! For you. to decide to accept bronze age mythology, strongly indoctrinated into you , without ANY evidence.
For me, to observe what my sensory perception, applied to testability and reason,
tells me about the ONLY reality EITHER of us are equipped to percieve.
Or are you claiming divine revelation, or an extra sensory organ? Lol!
@osks" Do you want to suggest that pure reason and empiricism are sufficient methods of knowing for you to judge what is true and what is not?"
Yes! ....Or at least they better be, because they are ALL that either of us have!
Neither of us have the right, as you do, to say something is true when it isn't subject, and even contradictory, to our ONLY Apparatus to discern what is real!
You are dishonest, or a fool to posit otherwise.
What happened to my first reply to this comment BTW?
@osks " What hope do YOU cling to - your own ability to rescue yourself?
If that and modern science can't help - I know that there is nothing else. I am no better off than this lovely brave lady. The best she can hope for is her,( very sincere I'm sure) but unsubstantiated believe in a deity and an afterlife, that is offered with no more credibility than a belief in goblins or fairies!
That is the difference between rational people and irrational - I won't believe in what isn't there!

Using a dying lady as a prop for marketing material. Disgraceful!

Tremendous testimony to God's grace; I have been really blessed by reading Jozanne's recent book "I choose everything"
