I wish these "researchers" would stop putting those fucking radio collars on so many animals. At this point do they really need to collect data on what lions eat, for example? Hey, they're fucking predators. They eat meat. If they live near wildebeest or zebra, guess what, they eat wildebeest and zebra. Stop harassing them with the damn hypo darts and radio collars and just let them be wild animals!
i do not agree to kill other animals and feed the tigers this is crazy unless feed them with dadly animals if they like meet ,or feed them with crocodiles, pitons, sharks, wolfs, bears somthing like them....
@jedq I haven't heard about this, do you mean in an enclosed space are they breeding them? Releasing tigers into the wild in Africa would definitely be a bad idea.
i am gunna build a machine that will bring back the saber tooth tigers. There i will gettem to eat all phone companies and big buisnesses that create too much unwanted buildings. :D
YEA ITS SAD KNOWING not alot of ppl care about the species soon the only animals left will be chickens cows etc. ... i mean atleast we could still have house cats in the future lol breed them with vicous house cats and make tigers and big cats :D
Not that I know of, releasing a liger into the wild would cause chaos with regards to the possibility of them breeding with other big cats that would cause the genetics of pure wild cats to decline and put that population of that species under threat.
NWKBricks1, thank you so very much for for caring enough to post a comment! We could not do what we do without the support and backing of so many wonderful people.
Its good to see BCR doing something towards conservation. Protecting their habitats and supporting places like these are the ONLY way to save these animals. We can breed as many animals as we want in captivity but if there is no place to put them what is the point? Thanks BCR

You have no idea what you're talking about. Lewa is one of the foremost conservation areas in the world and they are doing a pioneering and incredible job.
It is certainly a rewarding field to be in. Visit our website and surf through the "Kids" section (link at top toward the right) and you can see what kids are doing now, as kids, to help in the fight to save endagered animals and to help us care for the cats at Big Cat Rescue. The creativity and enthusiasm of youngsters never ceases to amaze me! THANK YOU for watching and caring enough to comment.
Vibhu1503, There is a section on our main website about Barbary Lions that will answer questions in detail. If you need the direct link, let me know and I will message it to you.

Aren't all ligers sterile ?

Male ligers are thought to all be sterile yet female ligers are fertile and can reproduce.
