Hey, I recorded a song sang by myself when I was 5 years old, that's 19 years ago, and I will post it today. Haha. I'm just kidding. The time of recording doesn't have to match the time of posting on youtube. In fact, I think that 90% of NW video with Tarja were posted after the split.

Your point makes perfect sense, I just prefer them the other way around. Tarja is still an amazing singer though, Nightwish won't be the same without her.
Was this during the Once tourings? Didn´t think they'd play another long song now that they had GLS... They usually do just one epic on their concerts; the most recent.
They haven't played this during the Once era, it's from 2002 or 2003. But more likely 2002, since Tarja still had her old microphone (later she started using different models).
Tuomas knows Anette would get arrested for murder if she tried to sing this song =P
In all seriousness, the epic songs (Beauty of the Beast, Ghost Love Score, Creek Mary's Blood) should be left as they are. Epic material should be left to the original singer. I hope Tarja performs either this or GLS on her tour this year.
Creek Mary's Blood was singed by Anette in some ocasions when Jonny Two-haks there was. The song with Anette is like the original, different, but very beautiful

I thin Beaute of the Beast is more epic but i think Ghost Love Score is more powerfull. :D The two songs are masterpieces!!, and The Poet And The Pendulum too. =)
that's not true. its definately different, but if you really listen to nightwih, you must have noticed that even with Tarja, the style changed a lot between angels fall first and once. the music was all written, and even recorded (other than the vocals) before she was in the band, so she had no effect on the style other than how she interpreted the singing.
so their style has changed, but i don't think its really fair to say that its lost, because it changes slightly with each album anyway.
that's why I said "not only for anette" I feel the "new nightwish" like very passive and it was so powerful, they also had a side gothic, and now they don't, they are so much more comercial, I don't know there was somenthing that made them better tan now, IN MY PERSONAL OPINION

I think maybe what you're trying to describe is how epic songs like this are, but i think the poet and the pendulum is really epic too. and songs like master passion greed and for the heart i once had have a lot of passion as well, in my personal opinion. :)
anyway, i have my opinion, you have yours, and tarja will never come back to nightwish.. so people who like the new nightwish will listen to them, but people as me that had heard a really different nightwish will decide to listen or not

She does seem to be wearing the Cross of Saint Peter, yes. It could be interpreted as either a Christian (probably Catholic) or Satanic symbol - or it could just be decoration.
Amazing! This is my favourite nightwish song. The only thing i don't like about it in the album, is that it ends on a fade out. (it's a kind of thing i don't like). And here, it doesn't end on a fade out, so its better!

I heard it, and was pleasantly surprised. I actually quite liked it.
I think BoTB would still be a bit too big for her to sing, though. CMB is quite a quiet song.
