  • L.A. CALI, AM Stereo 1580 KDAY was in effect with this jam. Used to listen to this before walkin' to school in the mornin' , then wait for it to come on when I got home from school. Loved this record!!! Where's the outro though?????

  • Where is alvin toney at today?

  • Say word yo!!!!!!

  • Yo Are you serious! This is dumb old

  • This was Craig Mack fIRST jOINT before he was craig mack -he was emcee EZ , this was a bad jam

  • KPOO 1988 OAKLAND, CA

  • As I've said 'fore, being in B-more I missed out on the real hip hop. If I didn't make my ocassion jaunts to NY and Philly, I wouldn't haven't gotten half my stuff like "Think" (Main Source) or "Step Up Front" (Pos K). You NY, NJ, and Philly people had it REAL GOOD in the 80s!!!

  • In '88, there was SO MANY bangers droppin' left and right that a joint like this kinda slipped through the cracks. Only REAL heads remember this joint. This takes me back to Marley Marl's In Control show on WBLS.

  • sounded way different flow and voice .... ill track tho.

  • It took me a while to find this 12" in vinyl back in the day. This was a sleeper classic!

  • man you went there!!

  • I can't believe that I'm hearing this again, after all these years! Thanks!

  • CLAAAASSSICCC!!!! THIS JOINT WOULD PLAY ON L.A's WORLD FAMOUS 1580 K-DAY RADIO STATION. HAD ALL THE HOUSE PARTIES GOING!!!

  • on of my favorites of all times real hiphop

  • @SCORPIO172 kaday u say, lol memories. shit is still fire today

  • when this joint dropped..all of Long Island jumped right behind it..but of course it needed a bigger push from the larger airways..this joint was so catchy back then and still is!

  • TRUE!

  • Yo Fam I thought The R was called Kid Super Fresh back then

  • Most old school records that came out around that time sounded like this, except for Eazy and NWA's stuff. Their music was fat and crisp because they had a tight engineer. Not to say Charlie Marotta wasn't tight.,he engineered a lot of EPMD's stuff also.

  • True-Sleeping Bag/Fresh Records.

  • i guess craig mack was the fisrt to go dumb, hyphy, retarded

  • this is da mack lol

  • This 12 inch validated my collection back then and now

  • great drop

  • His delivery is like a very early (Pre Liquid Swords)

GZA.....don't agree? I kne2w you'd say that..ha ha....look up stuff from "Words from the Genius"

  • damn!!!! ups. 5*

  • this was the shit yell

  • I remember this song. I had no idea it was Craig Mack. Shit, this better than the Bad Boy stuff. Thanks for droppin that gem.

  • We used to bump this on the school bus!! Craig Mack got SUPER jerked for this song. He said he only saw like a grand for it. "Industry rule # 4080 record companies are shadeeeeeee!"

  • Fresh needs to do a box set.

    Damn.

  • Man! A Sleeping Bag/Fresh hip hop box set?!

I'll reserve my copy NOW!! That would be the sh#t!!

  • Copy #2 reserved for me. What's the deal, we got the money give us the collection! I want that B-side too

    zoomzoomzoom, zumzumzoomzoom...

  • Amen. Talk about a goldmine of vintage classics. Why has this not already been released?!!

  • Yo, where u find this! I haven't heard this in like 20 years. This was my shit.

  • I have been looking for this for years!!! I bumped this song everyday back in '88. I thought JVCForce did this song at first. This is hip hop in its purest form.

  • I still got clean doubles, this is hard body for ril!

  • wow, this had craig mack on it??? I haven't heard this in over....15 years..lol

  • ugghhh! This is tight

  • this just brought back sooooo many memories. wow! good looking out on this one.

  • Wow!!

Now this is my all time GREAT!!!,i loove this ???

  • Craig Mack BEFORE he was CRAIG MACK.....RIGHT FROM THE GOLDEN ERA.

  • Wyandanch all day....the village was the spot back in the mid eighties.

  • Thanx bruhh! I've been looking for that song! Monk Higgins made some burners back in the day!

  • I still have this in my collection....dope

  • Word up yo it was hard for me to find it on Youtube alone.

  • Long Island stand up!!!

  • I had this song on a tape I took with me when I stayed in Charleston, S.C. for a minute back in 88' and the crowd went wild...I had joints on that TDK tape.

  • daamn that was raw.bangin from the jensen deck and two 6x9s in the cordoba.flashback to the blaupunkt gooseneck eq.wow im trippin.

  • intrin'SICK' Hip Hop!

  • They rarely blow the dust off this song on the radio.

  • this is a classic

  • This was a dope joint. So much Hip Hop was dropping back then songs like this fall through the cracks. So many little singles likethis that was crazy. Ahhh, the good ol' days.

  • You are the KING!!!!!!!!!! Excellent post. You too heavy for these cats out here. They don't know nothing 'bout this!!!

  • Too bad he couldn't drop this as a single on Bad Boy. The label he was on at the time folded.

  • dope

  • This was a Dj promo only record.. Brentwood/ CI loaded with talent

  • Man This was the jant alot of people didn't know that was Craig Mack. Back Then Marley, The Juice Crew, Epmd,Rakim, Slick Rick, MC Lyte & The First Priority crew was running shit.

  • Jammin!!!
