Rachel Maddow Guest Hosts Countdown 1 - Part 1 of 8

I'm so glad Rachel got her own show. Countdown's format is too fast paced (amazing she didn't choke the intro), but with her own show, Rachel is able to slow down and do in-depth investigations (i.e. C Street, Tea Party fund sources, and more recently militia groups). She is by far the best thing that has happened to cable news in a long time.

Love you Rachel, but the Memphis/not Memphis thing is a non-issue. It doesn't matter where Obama spoke - it mattered what he said. While I hesitate to speak on behalf of the dead, I suspect Dr. King, (like Sen. Obama) would have been more interested in speaking to those who were not necessarily members of the choir.

rachel is sooooo much better than allison stewart. allison smriks and giigles through every story like george bush does. It is really unsettling. rachel is sincere and just plain great. maybe a 130+ Iq does count for something these days.

I feel so selfish when it comes to Rachel Maddow. I love her and not because of how smart, pretty, gay, and charming she is. She's all that and it is entertaining. But her intelligent voice is IMPORTANT in this election year. She asks the right questions of the right people and the importance of that can't be overstated. PLEASE give her more airtime MSNBC. Heck, NBC, please give her more airtime!
