  • Love it,dont know why,,,

  • Stupid cameraman should get more shots at Fisher, he's got a totally cool vibe playing the hammond with that hood on.

  • Electric keyboards will never match the sounds of the old organs.

  • These lyrics are poetry.

  • I saw PH on tour in early 73 warmed up by the Eagles, who had just released Take It Easy. We went just to hear Whiter Shade of Pale and Take it Easy. We didn't know any other songs by PH. Well, the Eagles did their song, but PH didn't do theirs! We couldn't believe it! The crowd called out for more, but they wouldn't play it! They were pushing their new album Grand Hotel and I guess maybe they were just tired of WSOP - who knows? But at least I saw the Eagles when they were a warmup band.

  • Robin Trower.Great musician.Check out Bridge of Sighs.

  • Can't hear this song anymore without thinking of the mushrooms in the Tenth Kingdom! Totally fit the bill!

  • Brilliant, I was around at the time and there will be never anything to beat this period. We all try, but , it cannot be done...this was the world before the crap started, this was a time when music gave us a chance to do better.

  • superb not like the crap you get now in 2011

  • acid

  • prob the best thing ever on top of the pops...

  • This song is truly timeless..........and priceless...........I love it so..........enjoy, laugh, and cherish all the memories that make up your being.

  • Awesome video...thanks for sharing it.......peace

  • PETE MURRAY SAID THIS IS STANDARD IT IS MORE THAN A STANDARD IT IS A

A CLASSIC (ONE OF SIXTEEN VESTEL VIRGINS) WHAT A LINE

  • This single was re-released in the UK, back in 1972. This re-release was just fine, as I wasn't old enough to appreciate the sheer class of this record in 1967.

  • What a great song

  • This is my all time fave song

  • still have my 45

  • Música de porta de puteiro....

    Mas é muito bom......toca raul

  • Finally the organist got his royalitys of 40% for the organ track after 35 yrs of bitchin

  • @DETROITBULLET Think the monk's cowl is a way of bitchin ~ you know the unrecognizable man!

  • TotP allowed artists to sing live, but not play live. You are actually hearing the lead singer sing live, but the band is having to fake it to their own playback.

  • @rottenwillow I guess you're right: while the vocals are definitively another take the organ line seems exaclty the same of the original one. This may also account for the odd ending and for the spare screentime that matthew gets…

  • This is the song.

  • I'm 26 and i like this, a lot. This is real music.

  • @ketogenesis I'm an 18 year old girl, this is one of my favourite songs <3

  • Isnt there the influence of Back or Beethoven here ? The lead singer sounds a bit like Stevie WInwood or visa versa

  • @Gauraonline Yes, some find here Bachh´s Aria in G string. And som verse are definitively from Chaucer.

That is the reason that music is eternal.

  • bach air

  • Great Song! There is a few videos of this on youtube but this is the best quality full length one I've found :) Thanks!

  • One of the greatest songs ever written. I LOVE IT! But they are MIMING.
