  • Could you guys do a sliding tutorial?

  • can you do this with out having to take the actual truck off the deck?

  • my name is joel toooo :)

  • Do you know where i can buy white lithium grease.

  • @originalhowto is original ever going to make metal wave cams?

  • @kbunkrams83 I wondered that too, it might cost more to make but it damn sure would last longer

  • from the look of these trucks they cant be top mounted

  • why does original not make metal wave cams? does anyone know of any companies that make wave cams that are metal?

  • i stripped the kingpin* sorry

  • hey i striped the hex key slot in the middle of the truck, and its really tight, any advice?

  • Andrew Bird? thats kind of random, but I'm diggin it

  • origanal trucks are awesome, spring weight also depends on the board, if your running s10s with a wide board, youll get alot more leverage over the truck.

im 5,10 160lbs and i ride whites because i ride a very wide board

  • what color tension spring would be a kid like me 5'10 and 165lbs

  • ... i hear that original trucks are bad

  • @mexibrick6321 you heard wrong

  • i got the bear grizzlys with my apex lool, to much hassle if a wave cam breaks and i have to get a replacement allll the way from america

  • Damn, you could land a plane in those hangars.

  • can these be mounted to a drop through board? other then the apex 37

  • im 70kg (140 pounds i believe) which springs?

  • @CrunchyMuffbag they have the weight class's on their page but i believe that you weight is the standard spring.

  • when cleaning my s8 trucks what parts should I lube and what parts should I leave unlubed? please respond!

  • idk why but im so terrified to do this

  • @LegitLongboarder13 the s 10 trucks

  • i wieght around 90kg, wich springs would you recomend? the red, the white or black ones?

  • Can you use silicone grease instead of lithium grease? Radio control cars with Delrin gears use silicone grease so they must be compatible, but does it lubricate well enough? Google "thick silicone grease" and you'll see what I'm talking about. The advantage would be that silicone grease is non toxic.

  • can i do this without removing the truck from the board?

  • nice video, bad cameraman.

  • @jrv107 yes but it depends on ur weight if your over 120 I recommend white springs so u still have good tight turns and turning stability yet reduction in speed wobbles.

  • Original trucks are so complicated that they're stupid I mean they don't even have bushings but springs instead

  • @ishansmnt To complex for you little guy?

  • Hey original. Can i drop these trucks on a drop through board?

  • His eyes have an amazing color...

  • dOES These get speed wabbles?

  • I have an apex 37 with 8mm trucks, and the wave cams on each trucks are cracked, and the trucks are kind of wobbly. If i get new wave cams will that go away? Where can i get them? Please answer!

  • @MandDproducers i emailed them and they sent me new ones for free just got em today

  • how important is the top (smaller diameter) washer???

  • Ok so i just did this and i want to save some ppl time if u see white lithium grease on the shelves and it says SOY BASED DO NOT get that one! GET PETROLEUM BASED (WLG)...took me 4 tries to figure out what was wrong...

  • What trucks is the best to slide with the apex 37?

  • @madedbyus you want a 83a or higher duro wheel.. and any standard free ride truck around 40-50 does the trick.. original s8's are probably the most versatile truck.

  • @madedbyus s8

  • If you use your board about every weekend how often do you need to dissemble your trucks and clean them?

  • I have a pair of the s8 trucks, how hard can you tighten em so they wont break?

  • I have a pair of the s8 truck, how hard can you tighten the trucks beacuse i dont want em to break?

  • @TheJesperrrr dont tighten too much or the wave cams will break.. you MUST be able to see your wave cam stick out further than the holder.. if its still loose buy some medium tension springs or heavy tention springs on their website.. around $12 for a pair.. check out my channel i describe it all!!

  • So, my trucks are squeaky as heck! will cleaning them fix this? its also been 2 years, should i get new springs cause my black ones are super loose

  • @IndieGeekChris squeaky trucks can be the result of not enough grease or broken wave cams.. might want to take them apart and see whats wrong.. check out my channel for more videos!

  • @cwynts93

99% of the time it's just the pivot cup that makes the noise, and you can put soap shavings in it to fix the noise.

  • longboard adjustment key..haha thats an alan wrench

  • could you dropthrough these trucks and if you can are they good for sliding'

  • original trucks suck balls

  • how often should u grease the trucks?

  • To Take apart the trucks do you have to detach it from the deck?

  • Ive been riding my original old apex 37 with S8's and my trucks broke. like i did a bigspin and when i landed the metal peice literally just fell off. Like the whole metal peice just snapped off covering the wavecam. Should i be doing anything about this. Is it in warranty or??

  • @originalhowto please help i have original s6 trucks and i disassembled and reassembled them yesterday to clean them and i cleaned the wavecams with wd-40 and now they squeek really badly. The trucks still work great but its really annoying how they squeek. is there anyway i can fix this?

  • @AppleYanka you just made your trucks very squeaky by your own doing. There's another video by Brian Bishop that SPECIFICALLY says not to use any kind of spray solvent (ie WD-40). it messes up the moving parts. I don't know how to fix this, but don't do it with wd40 again.

  • you shuold do a 125mm truck :)

  • Is it possible to order for instance a pintail 40" from your page and choose bushing trucks instead?

  • I hear overtime the trucks will get lots of speed wobbles. Is this true? And something about removing the washers to prevent these speed wobbles

  • Do the springs replace bushings in regular trucks?

  • how heavy do u have to be to use the white spring?

  • What's the difference in springs

  • @MrPVD21 its the tension paul

  • My lock tab moves back and forth when I put it around the same tightness you used, I don't want to tighten it till it doesn't wobble because I don't want my wavecams to break, what do you recommend?

  • how easy are these to learn? cuz they look easier than a regular skateboard

  • Really important question. Will I be able to mount these on a board with drop-thru mounting? Because original has the best carving trucks and mine suck.

  • springs and wavecams :(

looks like moar complicated mechanisms and stuff

too bad originals are the only ones with 250 mm lengths

  • So theres nothing I can do about this horrible squeaking if I don't have white lithium grease?

  • my wave cams squeek rlly load and idk how to stop it and i have a appex 34 and is it supposed to come with like a cloud or spaser between the trucks and acuall board?

  • when i went to replace my broken wave cam i went to lube everything and i couldn't get the large diameter washer off and i tried to use pliers to grab it but it didnt work pls help

  • Yo original both my wavecams snapped and id like to replace them but i live in argentina. Do you guys ship parts outide of the states

  • Yo original, both my wavecams snapped, id like to replace them but i live in Argentina. Do you guys ship parts outside of the states??

  • can i use lithium grease spray? here in Sweden it's the only lithium grease i can find

    -__-

  • @zeelhazard Sprays are no good. CHeck out Brian Bishop's page.

  • @owenhowardscott Why wouldn't pray be good for it? I've used spray and it has worked perfectly...

  • @bulipap To be honest I'm just propogating what Bishop said and since he's a team rider, I figure he knows what he's talking about. After re-watching he does specify WD, but also says all spray cans. I dunno, I'd rather err on the side of caution, and besides, standard lithium grease is NOT hard to come by.

    /watch?v=oppf4GNZ54Y&feature=related

  • @bulipap Also this:

    /watch?v=p9cQXPHvqic&feature=related

    Read Original's second comment.

  • @owenhowardscott thx(:

  • @zeelhazard No prob bob.

  • Yeah getting the wave cams out with the trucks on the board is impossible. I didn't receive an allen wrench small enough to unscrew the trucks off my board either.

  • @xxJBLADExxXtream its not impossible ive done it with mine

  • @conkydong1 Its cool anyway, i went out and bought an allen wrench set.

  • these r the most complex trucks known to man

  • when will the apex 34 be back in stock

  • HEY, ORIGINAL! You didn't explain how much of a bitch putting white springs would be. PLEASE put up a video of you trying to do that hard work, sir.

  • my trucks squeek and make noises there 2days old aswell.... any ideas on how tight and what grease i should use?

  • cool vid thanks man

  • how do these trucks stand up to more aggressive tricks such as bonelesses?

  • @TyPh11 Very well- check out some of the vids on our main channel to see them in action.

  • whats white lethium grease and where can u buy it?

  • @chancerbob95 Its a standard grease that can be found in hardware stores and auto parts stores.

  • ahhh i put the washers back in the wrong way... so THAT'S why it started squeaking

  • can you please do a video of doing this when the truck is on the board?! or at least some tips to doing it when the truck is on the board please!! its kinda annoying to keep taking off the trucks every time i clean them

  • @9196224 You can do the same procedure with the trucks on the board, it just take a bit more fidgeting to get all the parts to line back up.

  • hey original guys i have a couple questions. first how much white lithium grease are you supposed to put on the wave cam and are you supposed to put it on the springs or washers if so how much. also how do you know when you are over tightening the trucks, i had watched the other video but i just want a little more clarification. thank you

  • @9196224 You should apply the lithium grease to the wave cams, base plate tube, and washers. The best way to describe over tightening the trucks is if the surface of the wave cams sinks below the surface of the baseplate. The how to fix wave cams video gives a visual of this. Additionally, if you break cams regularly this is a good indicator that your trucks are too tight an you need to upgrade springs.

  • im 100 lbs (im 12) and i was wondering which spring should i get i want it to be able to carve good but stay somewhat stiff

  • @1GBMProductions Try out the standard black springs first. At 100 lbs they should provide a good amount of tension while still allowing you to carve. If they are still too loose you can give the reds a shot- but you shouldn't have to go to whites. They would be the stiffest ride but may be too tight for someone your weight.

  • shit nice eyes bro

  • Should you lube the spring? is it just the wave cam?

  • Protip: you don't have to take the trucks off the deck to change the springs. Thank the original engineering department.

  • Hey original i was wondering if you could use Vaseline (petroleum jelly) instead of white lithium grease

  • @Tom1OHagan We don't recommend any petroleum products for the wave cams; we only recommend using the white lithium grease.

  • what can i use instead of lithium grease for the wavecams?

  • @pilotboarder1078 We dont recommend using any other products then lithium grease.

  • Hello Original,

Lets say if you ride really roughly on your new Apex 37. How often would you have to grease the wavecams if you don't want them to brake? How often do you usually replace your wavecams?

    Thanks!

  • @bulipap It really depends on how dirty the places are where you ride- if there is alot of road grit and dirt greasing the cams monthly might be necessary. A set of cams should last at least 6 months but can easily last a year or two depending on how hard you ride.

  • how heavy are the s8 original trucks?

  • @nirvana50325 A single S8 truck w/out wheels or bearings is 1lb 6oz

  • no bushings? how come

  • @BRICKact2627 because they are originals

  • @BRICKact2627 It's Original trucks, they use wavecams instead...

  • @BRICKact2627 because sex.

  • @BRICKact2627 Bushings and springs have a different range of motion and compression so they achieve two very different ride feels.

  • @originalhowto PLEASE HELP! Ok so i took apart my original s8 truck and now i cant put it together.

  • @ukuleleallnight: go watch brian bishop, he says how to do that stuff

  • will those springs work on venture trucks?

  • @wrestlemaniac202 The springs only work with Original Trucks.

  • can you get different graphic desings for the pintails. like i want the pintail 40 or 37 but with the pintail 46 graphic design .

  • would these trucks be any good on a dervish?

  • @BoatEsky Yes- they will work on a dervish, and will give the board the characteristic carvy feel of the Original trucks.

  • where can i get new lock tabs? Would it be okay if i used star washers for my trucks instead of the standard washers?

  • @BabyTumbler Contact our customer support line for new locktabs. You can as about the washers then as well- not sure which washers your replacing.

  • silly question of me, i just got a landyachtz bamboo bored, and i was just wondering how important washers are, 3 wheels on my hangers have them except for the front right, so i was just wondering if it matter'd if you had all of them?

  • @chronicreaper Well, they are important, otherwise they wouldn't but utilized on longboards. That being said, you can ride without them for a while without damaging the trucks/wheels.

  • what are the stock tension springs on the boards? are they all the same or does it vary from board to board?

  • @spotty2416 All board come stock with black tension springs.

  • To Original; i would like to know if in the 2010 costume contest, its all about the costume, because i dont have a real good costume (its pretty cool though) so if i did some cool tricks, would i have a better chance of winning? i tried this on the costume contest vid, but nobody responded, THANK YOU!

PS: I have a pretty crappy board, so im going to do as much as i can to win!

  • @RedGripProductions The costume contest is about the riding, costume, and overall impression. Good luck!

  • does the apex 34 come with spring loaded trucks?

  • @WasGhettoBoy812 Yes- all Original boards come standard with our spring loaded S Series trucks.

  • can thoes go on a drop thru board?

  • @808LONGBOARDZ They don't work in the typical drop through way- but they can be surface mounted on a drop through deck and still end up low.

  • can you mount these on any board?

  • @pinoykid09 Yes you can- you just have to be mindful of wheel bite.

  • @pinoykid09 Yes, but you have to be mindful of wheel clearance. Check out our "how to longboard: original trucks" video for more info.

  • i am 5'4" and about 105, i have the S6's with the black springs and i love them...i want to get either the pintail 43 or 46 and i dont know whether to get the red or white springs cuase i want a little more stability than the black springs.... I want more stability for bigger hills but i still want the feel of an original truck because theyre awesome....help me out guys pleasseee!!

  • @sdeezy8 I would recommend going for the red springs. At 5.4 and 105 they will feel stiffer then the black springs, especially if you ride them a bit tighter then your normal setting, giving you the stability your looking for but still having the Original Truck feel.

  • Which spring is the best for downhill but can still be pretty turny?

  • @pyscobrand I would suggest the white springs as they will help stabilize the trucks- just remember to work up to bigger hills gradually- you'll still need to get used to the feel of the heavier springs at speed.

  • @bassistthatrocks Try cleaning the trucks- or contact our Customer Support hotline.

  • how much do hangars run for, price wise?

    Just hangars by themselves?

  • @spunkyjam39 20$ a set.

  • what do use to clean the bearings?

  • @phntazma95 Usually alcohol or gas- check out bearing cleaning vids on the tube- there are some good ones.

  • dose this also work fer skate boarding trux as well

  • @99PotatoChip Nope- Two very different things.

  • Hi, I have one question,

My original trucks sounds funny when i carve.

they are kind of new, and the cam is not broken :)

should i clean them or something?

  • @charlieasplund I would give cleaning a shot- and then re-grease for optimum performance.

  • hey original I did this and my trucks were extremly greasy, did those have grease on them?

  • @thomsoba Most likely what you were seeing is dirty grease- clean grease will not appear black and dirty- it should appear clear and clean. Yes these trucks had grease on them.

  • Is it possible that the guys at original can do i video on the the difference in how the different tension springs work and ride on each truck size i think that would be really fundamental i have the black and red springs and ive only tried the black and red spring on my s8 trucks i havent tried the red on my s10 trucks yet and ive just purchased the white tension spring monday and it should be here tomorrow hopefully but a vido on that would be perfect

  • @godsonOmg We'll get on that one ASAP.

  • hey so do I put the white lithium grece (I dont know if I spelled it right) all over the wave cams to clean them? and also am I suppose to clean something else witht the white lethium grece, like maybe the washers or the tension spring??

    PLEASE REPLY THANKS

  • is randal good trucks? and whats best between paris and randal ??

  • hey few questions,

Im pretty sure i know how to clean my trucks I just wanted to make sure that white lithium grease is what you use to clean your trucks,

and whether you can buy the hanger of the trucks on its own to save buying the whole truck again

  • @scottybird1234 Soap and water to clean- white lithium grease to re-grease the cams after they are clean. You can purchase hangars from Original- just give us a call.

  • hey few questions,

Im pretty sure i know how to clean my trucks I just wanted to make sure that white lithium grease is what you use to clean your trucks,

and whether you can buy the hanger of the trucks on its own to save buying the whole truck again

  • Are original trucks put together the same as every longboard truck?

  • i just used WLG to lube up my trucks and now its EVEN SQUEAKIER! is there something i should do? what happened?

  • could you sell white lithium grease on the original website?????

  • Will the white lithium grease take the squeaking sounds outta my trucks? i just bought my board about to weeks ago and it squeaks like crazy. i believe its from the wave cams do you think that will help? i hope it does cuz im not getting rid of my board. i bought the torpedo. that thing is sick.
