I don't want to speak for wantOWLE but I think the answer is that it's not TRULY video. Timelapse apps record a number of still images using the still camera (not video camera) then sequences them together, allowing for 720p. I've done a lot of time-lapse 'videos' with great results. The best app I've found is iTimeLapse.
