I'd say most skill can seen on pures fighting each other, since both will hit hard and most times timing and healing or not shows whos better. Yea those maxed hybrids are awesome with their switches but it's so luck-based when one can onehit other with identical stats and other waste all time and not doing any damage...

I fail to see how this is cheating, if you managed to end up fighting 5 vs 1 then I recomend that you you gather your friends to fight. This isn't the first time I have heard about outnumbered pvp and I know it will not be the last.
Only rogues are good for solo pvp and Runescape dosn't use any stealth concept in pvp.
