  • Shame on you imran mian.. You are not 10 percent of aziz mian.. Aziz mian was a gr8 & beautiful qawwal

  • I think I got quite understanding of this song after listening to this and one sung by his father RIP so many times. He means 'martyrdom or death' by 'sharabi'. In other words, he means that this is a short life and everyone will die as did so many others. And he clearly names Hazrat Abbas, ALi Azghar, hazrat Yousuf etc.

  • I wonder if he is saying...MAi SharaBi ShaRabi...MAi SharaBi ShaRabi... Lols

Well thats a confession should be fined and put in prison !

  • where do you download it from

  • MAi SharaBi ShaRabi...MAi SharaBi ShaRabi...MAi SharaBi ShaRabi...MAi SharaBi ShaRabi...MAi SharaBi ShaRabi...

  • Bht zabardast. .. bilkul baap wali baat to nai hai magr baap ki takkar ka hai apnay. .. bht khoob larkay bht khoob. ...

You can never sit by your father. I'm big fan of your father!

  • he is still young it will with time then again he aint as well educated in the old ways as Aziz Mina (may god bless his soul). And as every one else we all try to be like the ppl we love the most so if he trys to be like his father then that is a very good thing.

  • mea sharabi

  • rediculous!

  • He can try but he can never take Aziz mian`s place, he has to try make his own status, otherwise he has to leave singing.

  • Wah Wah Mian Imran Aziz kiya baat hai.... aap ki aawaz bahut hi achi hai.

  • he must change his style of singing qwwali......

It does not go with what he's reciting.

How come people listen to this guy?

    He's just yelling.

    i don't even think he's got a good voice.

he's just repeating what his dad wrote.

  • he sould watch his dad's vedios to get close to the level.

  • No doubt Aziz Mian was one of reall assets of pakistan. No one could be Aziz again.I agree with HUMENITYBYHUMEN that the culture is being carrying forward with different people, so we cud say that this specific field is not vacant.

Like rahat,he is shadow of Janab Nustal khan sahab but we know there wont be again Nusrat fateh,as he was real and brilliat.

but these people, like rahat fateh and imran aziz mian are great thinker who didnt left any lack of art.

  • hi guys ...

no doubt azia mian sahab was brilliant qawal of paksitan.. but its still good that imraan is carry out his country name,, and filed is nt empty... hi might need bit more time......... but wud say,, keep it up.. Imraan

  • Imran, please learn how to sing, it might help you.

  • insan zandagi may kabi apna baap nahi ban sartha, aziz is the only best

  • beautiful!!!

  • lolz...fake parody

  • It was an ok performance - but I feel he rushed it a bit too much.

As for comparisons to his father - the problem here is usually the fans. It happens with musicians, actors, writers, artists etc. It's very difficult for then to break out of the shadow of their father when the fans will always compare. Aziz Mian was one of a kind and to duplicate his style is impossible - it should he fine for his son to try his own style.

  • Nowhere near Ustad Ji

  • NOthing wrong with copying his fathers style. Especially because his style was so unique.

BUt this makes you appreciate his father even more. I like the son, but his father voice blows his away.

  • So you are saying that its ok for an individual to remain under his father's shadow all his life? You want him to sing all his father's songs, that too in his father's voice? How does humanity progress if we think like that?

  • This music has been around for 100's of years. THis isnt pop music. Different families have different sounds. I appreciate them carrying on the elders tradition. ALso, some of these songs are sung over and over by all the qawwals- for years and years. PLUS-- his other songs show some originality. LASTLY-- I love the rythyms that Aziz Mian kept. THe only ones who are similiar-- are his sons. Id love to see either son perform- since I never saw their father

  • Yes I agree the music has been around for centuries. The poetry is mostly the same. Most Qawwals sing the same Kalaam in their own styles. But please come on. There are numerous examples of new generations of gharanas who learnt to evolve and bring their own unique sound. It's a different thing if his 'fans' are too afraid to let go of Aziz Mian and insist on making his son sing songs in his style.

  • I understand what your saying. BUT- your picking on the wrong qawwal. HIs other stuff seems to be unique and different-- at least the youtube stuff. I don't think he should ignore all his fathers songs. Remember he performed those songs with his father as well.

HIs other son sounds much more like his father.

  • I AGREE 100%!

  • I don't know what to think about this. He copies his father. Amjad Farid Sabri copies his father and uncle when he sings. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's nephew copies his uncle when he sings.

What is this? Shouldn't they try to go beyond that and at least try being their own men and sing in their own original styles? It's better to be a first rate version of oneself than being a second rate version of someone else.

  • Well said, mothsmoke. Mehdi Hussan son copy his father too. Inspiration is imporant but one should go beyond that and try to find his or her own voice/style
