I'd call this song, which is one of my favs, BLUES, with infectious rhythm. Metal requires more, uh, metal and distortion.

Sebastian was a genius musically and lyrically. At least for about 16 months when they had a zillion hits.

I've known the song's title but have never heard this one by them. Pretty hard for it's time, and definately a hard tune for The Lovin' Spoonful of all bands! It's almost punk with it's double timed breaks and sarcastic jabbing commentary lyrics.
