you can buy this stuff at store. it's pretty cool. however, the statement that it depolarizes when it hits the air is pretty false. The marbles are always present in the solution, they just have the same lucidity as water so they don't appear present
Ok, it took me three goes but now I have my [-CH5-CH(LOONi)-]n polymer stable, I had to replace calcium bicarbonate with calcium carbonate (antacid).
All the ingredients can be found at a grocery store. It's a pretty simple experiment to do, so why not just do it like Nexnaught said? But, yea, stumbled from GA. This is pretty amazing and I can wait to do this in front of some naive spectators.
honestly, i was so stoked to do this. but f ck all you guys. total bull-sheet. f ck f ck f ck you nikkybt. you are a huge fag. suck on ball sack. I'm so pissed. props on the hoax you douche bag mother f ck. slippery spheres.i know your secret. eat cock.
we did this in physics, I thought it was because the light refraction is exactly the same as it is in water, so you can't see them because there's no change in the light's speed as it travels through it.
"Calcium bicarbonate (Ca(HCO3)2), also called calcium hydrogen carbonate, does not refer to a known solid compound; it exists only in aqueous solution containing the ions calcium (Ca2+), dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2), bicarbonate (HCO3), and carbonate (CO32). The relative concentrations of these carbon-containing species depend on the pH; bicarbonate predominates within the range 6.36-10.25 in fresh water."
Last time I checked (correct me if I'm wrong, been a couple years since chemistry) but don't you mean Calcium Carbonate in 1:01? I thought Calcium Bicarbonate is a liquid form?
of course its real! People really don't know shit about science to they. But I'll bet every one this board can tell all kinds of useless shit about their preferred religion. What a waste of brain power.
wow are you really comparing science to religion? XD learn to type correctly before you call every one reading your swill stupid. fake. and why doesn't the water change to marbles when its sitting in the bowl? why does it change back when its back in the water? and why did the water magically go from clear after boiling to pink? have you any real, intelligent basis for the statement that this is real and were all dumb as you say?
I've made these before. It's not the water that's becoming solid. They're a gelatinous crystal that has the same index of refraction as water, so when they're dropped in the water they are invisible. This recipe is a wild goose chase. What they're claiming this is video of doesn't exist.
coglione se non hai capito il liquido a contatto con l'aria si depolarizza! grazie al cazzo che ci delle protuberanze! fino a prova contraria l'acqua non è sottovuoto!!! Stupid Man!!
Very elaborate - but why? It's just refraction - you can do this with cottonseed or yellow wesson cooking oil. I just saw this demonstrated with a test tube inside a beaker. Cool party trick though...
IT IS FAKE HE IS USING A CERTAIN TYPE OF MARBLE THAT BLENDS IN WITH THE WATER THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS IONIZED SALT ( it is iodized and i'm pretty sure you cant get calcium bicarbonate in crystalline form)
This only appears to turn the water into marbles. He has created a substance that has a refractive index near that of water making the edges of the balls very difficult to distinguish.

Can you tell me what type of polymer you might have created? Why would the resulting polymer only form perfect spheres of uniform size and only on exposure to air? If air is the key, why are there obviously many spheres already in the solution?
The more pertinent question is why am I spending my time on this when I could be doing some real science?
