I used WinUtilities to clean up my pc and to make it faster, but for some reason it deleted my hard drive D.I have 2 hard drives C and D. C is the main one and on D i install games etc.
But now it's gone and everything i had installed on it it's deleted.
this guy seems like a genius, i wish this guy could recover my harddrive, unfortunately i live in england though and im guessing thats a bit far lol. im just praying i dont end up giving my harddrive to some idiot trying to scam me for hundreds, and end up with no data :((( its so hard to tell what companies will do the best job when im a complete novice when it comes to harddrives.
I own a small repair shop and I have to say that in my experience you are right. I've never once had any home user spend over a few hundred dollars on data recover and that's pushing it. It's just not worth it to them.
@TheShadowlocker Data recovery software is really a good thing, MiniTool data recovery software is a good choice for you. It is easy to use and it is efficient.. some of the editions are absolutely FREE!!!!!!!!you can have a try.
Well done Scott, this is a great video. We always ask our new staff at our company to watch all of your videos as an comprehensive into into data recovery before training them for hands on work. Keep up the great work (and ignore the youtube haters!)
thanks this gives me hope i mean honestly if i had a quick tutoral on how to replace the spiner i think i could do it the bigest porblem is finding the exact drive because i am worried it may no longer be made anymore :(
Both my WD 80GB hard drives still run, I have one in my 9yr old dell 8200 as of now, and the other is for back up incase this one dies. But so far there still going, both WD drives are now going on 7 to 8yrs old, still work. My advice if you take good care of your hard drive it will take good care of you.
it's brilliant that you made a distinction in the beginning of this video about who this intel is for. I worked for a company in New York City that charges lot of dollars to recovery data and I can tell you they don't use half the technique you explain. Data Reco is definitely a DIY for the average computer user. With a little of of preventative measures and with frequent backups, there is no need for the average joe or jane to pay for Data Recovery.
Thumbs Up! I am very glad you put video this up! I was replacing logic boards on hard drives that failed at work or for friends as far back as 1998, however going into the drive and replacing the read and write heads or trying to recover damaged platters require experienced staff to safely recover data.
Dude, I had one of those Lacie Big Disks crash on me and while I've had success in the part with Data Rescue II in the past, this one is MUCH HARDER!
The enclosure has 2 drives. As I understand, they're "RAID STRIPED". I pulled both drives and popped them into enclosures. one fired up, even though the computer wouldn't read it. My brain is going a million miles an hours and I don't know what to do.
Yes this is true, if 1 drive dies in a RAID 0 they are both gone. However if you can somehow image the failed drive and mount it on another drive you will get your data back.
I really need ur help, i rebuilt my Pc, and my college work was on the previus windows, i reformated the disk the long way, and no software is retreiving this data, it was in my desktop, pleeeeese help me :-0
hi superfly ,do you have a website with more details ,or a book ? thank you a lot because my english knowldege cant follow you when you speak hehe, thanks man
btw, i got a HDD Samsung 160 sata II that won`t start. It just won`t. I shuted down the PC and after 1 minute i powered it on. But the hdd haven`t started. Don`t know why. Any advice, anyone ?
I had a stuck file once, I tried to delete it using all means, nothing worked. I did notice it did not have an ending to the file name like example: .exe .dsc etc. and it was showing up as 0kbs. I decided to do a fresh reinstall of windows XP home.
Great! I think the presentation is great. Because of the in depth knowledge to be learned and because data recovery companies are pissed off as they think they are loosing money. That's really bollocks. I wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars anyway to recover my personal data.
I have a hdd from my old desktop pc. I couldn't log on anymore cause it was saying i had a damaged or corrupted file in the windows32 folder.. I couldn't fix it, the pc doesn't boot up properly due to damaged IDE connector on the motherboard. I got a new desktop pc, I wanna recover the files from the hdd but can't seem to because the files were in folders on the desktop and not in other locations of the hard drive. Is there hope for me to recover those folders on the desktop?
I've had problems where I've had HDD that weren't able to boot Windows, but there is still data on the drive that I needed. What I usually do is what I call a "dummy boot". You get another different computer that has a functioning HDD that can boot windows. PART 1
PART 2 Make sure the functioning HDD is on Master jumper setting, and take the non-working HDD and set that jumper to slave. WHen you boot windows, you have to choose the functioning Operating System on the good HDD, just after BIOS loads. YOu should be able to explore the bad HDD under My Computer, and copy the raw data and files from the bad HDD to the desktop of the good HDD...I've done this several times...

The people getting paid $2000 to recover 160GB of data are hardly "idiots".

I wish someone would do a video on file recovery for QUICKBOOKS.
Intuit is a bunch of thieves.
I keep a back up every week, and my file failed on the 6th day.
So now I have to go back in and do all those transactions again manually.
Anyone know how to recover from error -6000 -301?
FinsterFlummoxing 2 years ago
that happened with my mom, she does my dads books and she had a bad copy of vista and it didn't back up right

If one drive's gone then they're both gone right?

your computer could probebly read the harddrives and detect them but probebly not configured to use them
