Your feet are packed with nerve endings and they're more sensitive to the touch than almost any other body part. (Ahem) That would seem evolutionarily counterintuitive, but for whatever reason that's the case. I would think, therefore, that tatting up your feet would really hurt. Great review Amanda, but I do have an issue with one thing in you said. I know you haven't played it much yet so you wouldn't know, BUT...

3:55. I have played this game for 20-25 hours so far, and I can say this game definitely does NOT follow the typical Zelda formula. It changes things up significantly, in almost every aspect. It's quite spectacular.

@bierbuik Well, the field-dungeon-field-etc formula is pretty much gone. You travel to the surface from a hub world in the sky. There is simplified rpglike item looting. You can upgrade three different types of shields using these items, three tiers. Other items can be upgraded, all at the sort of hub world area of Skyloft. The game has a lot of Metroid like backtracking where new dimensions of older regions open up because of new items...

Most new items are available pretty quick in dungeons. A LOT of the newer puzzles are surprisingly innovative. This is, to me, the Zelda equivalent to Super Mario Galaxy 2 where literally every turn makes you feel like you're encountering a brilliant new idea. It's quite amazing. Instead of doing what Twilight Princess did and refining the old formula, this one seriously reinvigorates the series by injecting awesome new ideas. I am so entranced by it. Amazing title.

Long posts I know, but I've barely scratched the surface. This game feels all at once a celebration of 25 years of Zelda titles, while simultaneously branching off into totally new, awesome directions, a real adventure. I can't really say enough good things about it.

@TmKmHill Well I absolutely LOVED Links Awakening, Ocarina of Time was of course mind boggling at its time, I appreciated Majora's Mask a lot, LOVED Wind Waker and disliked the boring (to me at least) Twilight Princess, especially the wolf sections.

I was a little disappointed with the game's instruction booklet. There is only about ten pages, with no back story to the game itself, no items description or overview of the monsters in the game. The booklet was pretty bare bones compared to the other Zelda games.
