Sound isn't great because the Avery Fisher Hall wasn't built for amplification. It was built for symphonies & choral groups & such. Very interesting show. Crowd thought Phil would do something like Tom Thumb's but with everyone else playing old Dylan songs, Phil of course does a song off Dylan's newest album.
Interesting show. Top Highlight = The Roots' Masters of War, sung to the melody of the Star Spangled Banner with a Hendrix Machine Gun jam. ?uestlove pounding the snare rat-at-tat-tat
I was there. There were 22 performers - some were great, others like this video - not so good. Highlights: The Roots doing "Masters of War," Patti Smith doing "Dark Eyes." Not enough space to list all. Amazing to listen to Bob Dylan songs performed in so many musical genres. Shows the universality and timelessness of the songs.

It could be the poor audio or maybe, just maybe, it's the fact that Phil Lesh still thinks he can sing.
