I was introduced to Kpop by a friend a few years ago with FT Island's I Hope. But now I'm a full-fledged ELF (Super Junior fan^^)!!! I just wish there were more kpoppers in the US where I live... :)
i think kim hyun joong brought me too kpop... i didnt knew he was a singer until i saw a comment on his drama pkayful kiss.. than i listen too him sing i was like woah and i remember i had listen too it before, but in that time i was like tlwhat the hell is this... suddenly i found myself saying i love kpop... lol it came so sudden i wasnt ready lol now i feel free too say I LOVE KPOP.
My first experience was listening to g.o.d back ten years ago.... They are, in my opinion, the best kpop band... Sure shinee and 2pm are talented, but g.o.d was the best.
my first kpop experience EVER was in the fourth grade around 5 years ago...im so proud to say that my first song was haru haru by big bang!! its so special to me...even now i listen to it so much :D brings me back to good old memories....

I got into k pop by anime, too. I was really into anime in my 6th grade year and it's kinda fuzzy, but I either saw a recommended video for Sorry Sorry or Lucifer and that's how it started. I'm in 8th now and I still love k pop :)
And the first song I ever heard from K-pop, was Infinite's Before the Dawn. It was amazing. I loved the dance, how they actually can sing. I watched more of Oh My School. I realized there was this one girl named G.na arguing with Brian Joo. I checked out G.na and the first MV I saw from her was Black and White. Which led me to I'll back off so you can live better. The man in the MV Doojoon and Junhyung are from B2ST. Ever since I listened to B2st I Love K-Pop. I'm into so much more groups too.
I got into k-pop by seeing suggestions on videos. It said "J-pop vs K-pop" and I was thinking. Oh it is just a dance group. I was into Japanese things. Anime, dramas, horror films, food. You name it. So I always watched game shows of theirs too. I came across this one show called "Oh My School" I realized it wasn't Japanese but Korean. I showed my girlfriend this, and she was like "OMG YOU LISTEN TO K-POP?!" I told her know but it sounded interesting. I asked her to show me a song. She did so.
I got into Kpop by SHINee. The very first song I saw by them was Ring Ding Dong. I randomly found it on the internet, but I thought it was weird and I completely forgot about it. A year later, my brother really liked Kpop, so he made me watch SHINee's Lucifer with him. Then I became addicted. xD hahah.
oh my gawsh! i found kpop throught BoA's Every Heart song too! and i too also followed throught to tvxq, super junior and SHINee~ i found more kpop artist when i was looking up songs by BoA. i came across tvxq's tri-angle which featured BoA in it. at first i thought it was the other way around. but nope... and since then i've been in love with kpop and i don't plan on quitting anytime soon.
I got into Kpop after channel curfing and I found KBS and there was this drama, "The thorn birds", & I liked it so I I tuned in to watch it every week and after it was over there was always this commercial that played this catchy song and I was like what is this, its so catchy! a couple weks ago, I found the song while watching Mblaq, my biases, and it was hoot by girls generation! anyway,the first kpop band that i discovered was cnblue when they were playing intuition :)
I dont even remember how i got into kpop! I know it all started with anime and asian dramas though.. Many of my frds were into to it too so i knew more about it from them too. KPOP is the best <3 lol
Now I like... wow, where to start?? LOVE Infinite... I like 4minute, Miss A, Wondergirls, Chocolat (I dunno why people didn't like Syndrome???), Rania, Shinee, Beast, MBlaq, U-Kiss, Kara... Apink is becoming one of my favorite groups, i'm surprised... I think i've listened to a lot of K-pop now because I used to think that kind of music was way too cute. But I love saying "ay-pin-keu" :p I like 9 Muses last song, they're getting a lot better. But, i'm still trying to catch up on older stuff.
A couple of years ago I was really bored of American music so I started searching for foreign music ( I used to listen to Spanish and Turkish music for a while...) I came across SNSD's "Gee" and just loved the distinctive Asian sound to it and fell for the aeygo ;) It wasn't the type of song I would listen to in the car but after searching a bit more I really got into SNSD's "Genie" and Wondergirl's "Nobody", I was a bit behind since Run Devil Run had just come out but i've caught up a bit now!
haha the first Korean song that I heard was TVXQ feat Boa -Triangle. and I always thought it was japanese because of BoA and it wasnt until a few years later when I found out that it was actually korean. and i realized that when i was listening to it again after gettin familiar with the korean language so we kinda got something in common there haha. Was listening to some Utada, then I remembered about Ayu, but I didn't know much about her, so I tried to youtube her, but I couldn't remember her last name so I ended up on Ayumi Lee's remake of Kumi's Cutie Honey. :P Which lead to DBSK and Suju whom were my first bands in 2006. :]
Although I know people around me think it's "just a normal teenage craze" I know it isn't. Kpop made me a better person, I'm more accepting and open minded towards new foreign things and different cultures. I have earned confindence to stand up for what I believe in and love, which I must do from time to time as kpop is looked at with scornful eyes over here.
My life has just become 100times better over all, because I've finally found "where I belong" (so cheezy).

Nobody was my first kpop song! I actually found it on demand on comcast it was like an Asia heritage month. After that I got hooked! I got into k-pop when BoA made her American debut. Eat You Up was my faaaaaaavorite song at the time. I did dances to it, listened to it constantly, etc. I was watching the video on Youtube and decided to look up more videos of her, the next one being Girls On Top. Loved it too. In the related videos, I saw other videos that looked interesting, one of which being Fire by 2NE1. I watched it and was blown away. It was then that I realized "I need to get into this!"
GAH THE INFINITE HAT IS AWESOME. I watched them since their debut stage and KNEW they were gonna be big... the awkward moments are hilarious.. it is awkward cause you feel like you're talking to yourself but you gotta keep in mind your addressing so many people lol
