@mrrictus some people dont take it as serious as others. being that i made my own locs, i have a relationship with them. and like you said its almsot like a learning/growing experience. but for some people its more of a trend. my mom thought i was following everybody else because where i live if you are black, you have locs. but i dont use wax like other black people i know, therefore my locs look different. and i like that they are unique
the way she splits the hair, is imo the best way to make dreads, had mine made that way, and made it on others that way.. :) nobody really knows that method it seems.. sad..

That method is awesome, thats how im gonna do myne. Best part it, requires no wax, and no backcombing. Plus, they look great right away.
