  • damn..always wanted to know what it would look like hauling ass down a jogging path.... most folks can't even keep a car on normal two lane road with lines painted on it..much respect

  • french is not my languange, and english is my 2nd, and i keep hearing "wut ta fok"

  • what's french for "oh shit" when the shifter breaks off?

  • The fact that I am watching this kind of driving through windshield wipers is friggin' insane.

  • Brings back memories of me learning to drive.

  • why does he need that light that tells him when to shift?

  • @questionablesight or he will stays with one gear from start to finish... *the light is similar to the redline...

  • @questionablesight it would be difficult to concentrate on the road and the tachometer so that helps him focus on the driving

  • I cant even do this in Forza

  • I cant even do this in Forza

  • BALLS TO THE WALL!

  • I dont know who is crazy'r, the guys n the car, or all those people standing only a few feet away from those cars as the come flyin past....

  • I cant even imagine what his feet are doing...

  • I'd be so scared if i was driving. Respect to Panizzi. Great Driver

  • Proof that rally driving takes a whole other kind of sheer balls than Formula 1 or GT racing on circuits...

  • 124 shifting times i think?

  • with all the respect of loeb & co. these are really RALLY DRIVERS, without sequential gearbox, and without a minimum of electronic in the car...

  • @simohouston93 He's using a sequencial gearbox in this video.........

  • He must have some excellent foot and hand skill :O

  • 2:28 copilot say " you slip too gilles go ! "

  • Intro To: "The Naked Gun"..?

  • now that is some serious rally driving, pure manual shifting, not like the paddle shift shit today. love it

  • @LeninsBoyToy44

Actually he's using a sequential shifting mechanism. It operates just like a paddle shift, but with a stick that you push either forward or pull backwards.

  • @MrXipp i mean these still a clutch right?

  • @LeninsBoyToy44 Nope, no clutch. Well not for changing through the gears anyway.

  • Panizzi was perhaps the best ever on certain surfaces

  • the video is in fast forward - nice

  • I find it hard to believe this is actually in real time.

  • This guy can sure drive in thailand

  • @tontuyeau Thailand aint got nothing compared to India.

  • Car is geared low for acceleration thats why he changes gear so much rallying is about maintaining speed its an art

  • its like driving with my wife to a sale at Dillerds

  • @onefugowie haha!

  • @onefugowie i bet your wire drives faster to a sale then him :p

  • all i can hear is WATERFALL yea! in your fucking pants!!

  • Balls of the tiger...

  • damn.. he love to play with the gear....

he cant leave the gear for more than 5s...

  • @Proton94 for perfekt power on the wheels, to control the car at that speed, if you ride such a car and learn to ride it then this kind of speed is not as crazy if it seems..

  • @Proton94 thats because the car is geared for the powerband to want to shift quick

  • @Proton94

    its called sequential transmission.

  • thoes fans are crazy

  • look at that gear changing. Wooo.

  • Man that engine sounds sexy!

  • I've always thought that any driver that is involved with professional racing to be crazy.....but 80 MPH through the trees....that's just balls of steel!!!!

  • @maklin25 Go look up Colin McRae.

  • @maklin25 They go even 140mph .2weeks ago one guy went with the speed in our rally.

  • lol at the people massed on the road just meters away from this rocket

  • HEY OJ... THIS IS HOW YOU DRIVE!

  • I would like to drive like this in normal traffic :D

  • Ken block would have crashed like he did so fuck him. This guy his halling ass

  • @GuerreroF5 agree, Block is overrated. he isnt shit in rally! he got popular from Rallycross... i hate when they call him "The New Colin McRea"

  • Ken Block would have powerslided that

  • and they are brothers . . .

  • this is awesome, i wish have a good skills like that

  • in case you missed it thats a wet track...

  • Amazing! Not Human... He takes out all of the car!

  • I love French Rally championships

  • reminds me of the opening scene in the naked gun Lol

  • Take this Ken Block...

  • makes "DRIFTING" look like t-ball

  • 4 nascar fans didnt like this video

  • Rally Driving is so insane, I can't comprehend it.

  • God it's my dream to be in the rally , but i'm guessing youl need quite some money to start of with it :(

  • without noticing i didnt breath that whole time almost passed out at the end..AWESOME!

  • Panizzi is the best on the world!

  • ALE BIDA. DAJCIE TU FINA JAKIEGOŚ, BO SIĘ OGLĄDAĆ NIE DA ;]

  • how do you become a rally driver ?

  • @moblackqb31

Get a licence, get a licensed car, start driving. And get a sponsor, because everything costs a lot of money.

  • Damn this looks fun. Anyone know what car he's using?

  • @0ddinary Peugeot 306 maxi ;-)

  • How many Gears has that got!!! He Is A Proper Driver

  • to be honest..those against nascar n stuff have a point in my opinion...it does seem pretty....boring? but then again if your a real petrol head you would appreciate anything that makes a car go, btw absolutely (amazing) rally skills

  • is that a ratchet shifter?

  • I'd love him to drive me around like that in the countryside :L

  • i am sooooooooooooooooooo godamn tired of hearing plp say "nascar sucks" or "all they do is turn left" why dont u try it bitches? its not easy AND NO ITS NOT ALL LEFT TURNS ASSHOLES THEY RACE ON ROADCOURSES ALSO FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!! plp get on my nerves

  • @Xanderand1 we're not saying it doesn't take skill...we're just saying its boring and is an abomination of motorsport....I'm American btw

  • @Xanderand1 someones got a boner for nascar..

  • Gilles Panizzi + Peugeot 306 maxi = Amazing

  • This man drive 120 kph where us we drive a 20 max!

  • Thats pretty good!

  • Outstanding driver, wet road and all, and some VERY trusting spectators!

  • As supercars go, a Ferrari is streets ahead. There has been a few pretenders, but Ferrari will always be the best

  • I like to belive i can drive like this.

  • i don't speak french. but i'm pretty sure the co-driver is saying something like "we're going to die if you carry on like this" or "i've just shat myself again, can you smell it yet?"

  • @mikejlowe

Nah, at 2:28 it's the only place he says something other than instructions and he just says "You're sliding too much Gilles".

  • @mikejlowe

Actually, he says: "Come on, you can do this faster! I know it!" :D :D

  • @mikejlowe hes saying the degrees on which direction to turn along with the speed

  • @mikejlowe the co-driver is saying what lies ahead of on the race course, so the driver knows what to expect and do =)

  • it's not that amazing at all! watch ARI VATANEN on his opel manta, now that's what you call phenomenal.

  • @pietruski seen the isle of man video a while ago and totally agree, that video is insane

  • holly shit!

    amazing!

  • BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hes not better then ari vatanen :(

  • if you want to come from A to B with a car as fast as possible there's nothing better than a rally driver. Track race drivers can't do this as well.

  • how come every motor sport vid on youtube (bikes,cars,trucks,paris-dakar,motor cross) whatever there is all ways some big bitch fest about nascar, go moan about it on a nascar video if it gets you so mad

  • Its is so amazing to me how much skill all these drivers have! They make it look like its easy!

  • Nascar is better!!

    rofl....just kidding!! hahahahha.

  • of course WRC is more entertaining than Nascar. i think it's also safe to say there is MORE skill involved w/ rally racing than Nascar, not to say there isn't any skilled involved... just not as much as rally racing.

  • @EmEeArCee

You're right, I don't think there is a racing sport that is so much more about the driver than the car.

  • come on thats was spead up

  • wow.. i'd never be able to do that knowing with one wrong move could kill a spectator.. O_o

  • The driver is great and I don't know how the navigator stays focused. The medal for bravery goes to the people standing so near the road on a rainy day. One slip on a corner, or even a bit of hydroplaning on the straight and - pow!

  • @smegweevil aslong as the co-driver trusts the driver then they dont need to concintrate on if there going to crash and give good clear pase notes :)

  • This is a lot of skills right here. And it's raining too. After a day like that you probably have to pop some pills to sleep even though you're exhausted.

  • That Peugeot 306 Looks Brilliant

  • I could be wrong, but this looks like someone sped the video up. His hand moves in a very unnatural way when he changes gear...

  • @mecmw Looks unnatural? Maybe because this is sequential gearbox

  • Nope otherwise the speech would sound different. They are trained to change gear that fast

  • You really are a stupid fuck.

  • its not asphalt its tarmac

  • Americans like to call tarmac asphalt

  • well thats their asphalt!!! twats

  • @un4m3d4 Fail.

  • a kit car kicking the arse out of wrc cars even in the rain nodought!

  • 0:16 Shift up,shift down,shift up, shift down lol!

  • Terrific skills

  • Delecour pressed 4 times disslike button :-)))))

  • Lot of work here

  • minchia che controllo di trazione.....

  • ohh su verga van echos madreeee

  • sounds like a vry powerful braun blender

  • BANNED because it wa sto fastforr the 4wd wrc boys as was theother maxi.

  • sounds like an rc car XD

  • Its quite a lovely transmission. Would be fun to have a straight tooth gear transmission in a street car :) It would get soo annoying tho.

  • haha agreed :]

  • damn.. that muthafucka got talent.. never heard o him tho. was he ever in teh wrc?

  • Gilles Panizzi ?

Sure he was in WRC. Last factory driver for Mitsubishi as far as i remember

  • so he was in it at like the early 2000s?

  • actually his last rally was in 2006

  • He was Mitsubishi factory driver in asphalt races. At least 2005-2006.

  • This guy can DRIVE.

  • kicksoffs obviously you have never even been to Beverly Hills. Sunset blvd and the other major roads are honestly some of the worst roads in LA.

  • car seemed pretty nervous, correcting it really often :)

good driving, one of the best tarmac drivers in wrc few years ago

  • wheel (I was thinking of my keyboard thats why)

  • when he turns it sounds like my G25 keyboard lol

  • Comment removed

  • @kicksoffs so you can drive a (high) performane car around a wet corner and still keep it on the road even know you have to think what gear to go into and what gear to go out with and still listen to pase notes, i really dont think your get the fact that its hard to be a rally driver.... if it was that simple thn why arnt there loads of rally teams and winners in every country?

  • Panizzi was an exceptional driver on tarmac, period.

He was very sensitive to changes to the road surface like bumps, dirt, camber, and was able to control every little aspect of the tyres position. He also improved quite a lot on gravel before quitting the WRC scene. Shame he wasted his best years driving in local rallies only while Delecour tackled WRC. IMO Panizzi was better between the two.

  • he's far from 1 of the best

  • Looks like conditions were VERY challenging. I am always amazed to see how people are allowed to be so close to the track, especially when it's single track like this course

  • your a twat i would really like to see you get off the line in a car without stalling you goon

  • naaa, talking about front wheel drive, he is useless...jean ragnotti is the godfather of all.this guy stresses out when driving and panics

  • American Nascar sucks by the way. I don't call that racing if you're going in one dirction

  • You know whats sucks worse, british dentistry

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that was some funny shit!!!

  • ALL AMERICANS ARE IDIOTS, PERIOD

  • dont you mean bush?

  • NO i mean evry single1 is a twat

  • @kicksoffs it's a different type of racing... it's not so simple as to just go in one direction and driving for like 9 hours is mentally exhausting. you ever see a 15 degree ramp? they drive on that, sideways

  • @DShadow911 yea its complete boredom, Most ANY other racing takes more skill. Id almost say drag racing is harder!

  • @DShadow911 sure.. but there is still 10X the amount of skill needed to rally. you ever see mountains, rocks, mud, water, jumps, hairpin turns, snow, anything really? they drive on that, sideways

  • @kicksoffs that's what I always say. "Left....Left....Left....another Left...."

    how is that racing?

  • @kicksoffs correct sir

  • @kicksoffs NASCAR is mostly about teamwork...

  • @kicksoffs true!!

  • @kicksoffs your right nascar sucks: he's making a left turn, he's making a left turn, another left turn, what he's going to do now

  • Remember that Nascar is a different style of racing, It's mostly about teamwork/positioning skills, reading other car's potentional moves. This style is more about speed, and precision. There isn't a second car on the field, your only racing against time and because you cant see another car, you cant compare ur driving skills, nor would you feel the effects of the pressure to being next to them, but yeah like guitarherof3fan said left turn, left turn, another left turn, what now? ROFLMAO

  • @kicksoffs learn how to spell direction douche. and i'd like to see you go 200 miles per hour and be within inches of another driver or a cement wall. people are getting dumber and dumber these days...

  • The 306 maxi KICKASS

  • hardly breath taking

  • its wet?

  • you do better

  • give me YOUR 306 maxi and i'll try do better

  • ok i will

  • Good done Gillesss!

  • really nice, i like how he move his hands, really fast!
