  • amazing

  • Man, this is epic. Powerful.

  • @MrAlexTheGreat1961 A whole new way to luv it

  • what i would've given to have been there for this live...or to see led zep live...or to just be near Robert Plant.....this is excellent.

  • EPIC!

  • @pageplant77 dont worry those 8 people that dint like it dont know shit about music more less I think they have no clue as to who is LZ. take care

  • Brillianttt. amazing arrangement

  • When I listen to this song I cannot but think of the poor people of New Orleans when Katrina hit it, poor planning and fucking George playing golf and fishing , he´s a fucking dog piece of shit

  • if you dig this , see " it might get loud " Page is as old as me, too cool to die.

    Hippie , class of 73.

  • this is fun to play along with

  • Brilliant...

  • This the most incredible rendering of Led Zeps masterpiece. If you listen closely you will hear Katrina approaching and those driving waves beating on the levee. You will even hear the quiet when the eye passes over and then the pounding and driving wind and rain builds until the crashing sound of the levee breaking and the chaotic rush of water everywhere and the people fleeing in all directions. I am haunted by the last lyrics of the song...going down going down now...

  • @defleppardfan10 haha build a city at a more stupid place lol below sea level next to a sea

  • @gnatsum67...

seriously? you think someone just put it down as it is now with a giant rubber stamp like you do in simcity?

that city was constructed over many many many decades. i'd be wiling to bet it expanded a lot. it just turned out like that. noone designed it that way.

  • Magnificent! Led Zeppelin's version of When the Levee Breaks is a powerful music statement on the elemental force of water but it took a full symphony orchestra to bring it to fruitition. Rock on London Philharmonic! Listen to this on a rainy day

  • @thegreatNEb. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.

It's good, but lacks a certain crispiness.... maybe its the recording quality.

  • uh oh ive been discovered....

  • @aczartek

Beleive me, sound is here bad. With good sound quality it sounds amazing.

  • HOLY SHITT THIS IS MEEEEEEEEENTAL

5 stars........well done who ever did this

  • btw....now someone needs to arrange the vocals for a choir and superimpose it.

(sorry plant, you can't be allowed on this)

  • wrong, this is amazing

  • whats wrong exactly?

  • thats not mine....did u wash it?

  • you are making no sense pal....this is an amazing arrangement. if someone could arrange the vocals for a choir that would be an interesting addition, but its great as is

  • well im in the driveway about to leave....

  • The stacatto horns with the racing violins and flutes sounded cool around 5:45.

But I still think of the raw tone of page's screaming slide...

  • Where can you buy this version of the song? This is very well done....

  • sounds like a movie soundtrack

  • This is something I'd here from a Bond movie.

  • i don't think they make movies this epic

  • @thegreatNEb lol u gotta point there

  • but damn this is fucking awesome!! another totaly different feel amazing!

  • apc cannot be compare ok? maynard REMADE the song not remix its a totaly diffrent song, with a totaly diffrent vib with the sameish lyrics

  • Try scoring something like, then you can critcize

  • I agree w/ you this makes it sound strange.

  • Great version.

  • yes because you would know what gay is, go be gay some where else

  • blackopsrule, what do you have against gay people?

  • i dont have any thing against gay people, he just knows what gay is, they never bothered me, so i dont have any reason to be mad at them, accept this guy right here.

  • HELL YEAH

  • When I was young the old foggies listened to symphonies and I listened to LED. Now that I;m an old foggie what do I listen to now?- LED ZEPPLIN SYMPHONIC !

  • omg...this is FN amazing !!!! wish i could see it live !

  • Indeed, I agree, tho I don't feel myself foggy, just a fogey ;)

And, dude, if RECORDED & played with 6.1 in mind, it would melt the subwoofer

    rock is dead they say!

    =US=

  • this is great

  • Got to have that powerfull drumming of bonzo to start this song off right

  • Comment removed

  • on the main riff (not the chorus)

i feel like im walking through a huge crowd of ppl in china town, undercover.. =D

the chorus (the Godly sounding part!) i feel like riding a horse through a big plain!

    XD hahhah!

    badass!

  • Shouldnt the writing credit go to Memphis Minnie?

  • You are correct, the song was originally written by Memphis Minnie but this cover by the London Philharmonic Orchestra is much closer to the Led Zeppelin version than the original, in my opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @deadendkid1968 No, the credit should not go to Memphis Minnie. The part of Led Zeppelin's song that was credited to Memphis Minnie was the lyrics, not instrumental parts; and being that this has no lyrics, Memphis Minnie has no direct influence.

  • can't agree more. this is only the music composition, which share no resemblance at all to memphis minnie version.

  • Brilliant.

  • An American Folk Song, made into an English Rock Song, then made into a Symphonics piece. I love how music changes like that.

  • "When the levee breaks" is an American folk song? So, Led Zeppelin wasn't the original performer of it?

  • Yea, it's an American folk song written about the New Orleans Region sometime in the 1920's or 30's.

  • nah man Led Zep has a LOT of covers, but they were great at it.

  • Thanks, guys, I didn't know that.

  • this reminds me of playing final fantasy, for some reason.

  • Yeah, kinda hehe. Weird cuz the original gives me a completely different feeling,

  • this one ain't bad though

  • I can definitely agree. I want to play FFIX now... :)

  • haha, as i type this im playing FFIII.

  • Good symphonic cover- I've always loved it when hard rock and classical mesh.

  • Taking it to another levee !! Level... Cool. ;o)

  • Sounds Good

    LZRaocks!

    Thank you!

  • cool

  • its weird listening 2 this cause its supposed 2 be a blues song but then done by a orchestra still kick ass though

  • COOL

  • sweet. sounds awsome like this too!

  • Now Led Zeppelin is literally classic

    =P LOL

  • The story behind this version is a cool one - if you still have the cd with the art & story about the whole cd - each song is fantastic...I purchased the CD approx 8 yrs ago, never went beyond looking at the enclosed art...afterall that is what I bought it for - then after some bouts with a brain disease & the songs that were familiar to me just made me cry to think about what I would be leaving behind...turned out I just needed to hear it a different way - Symph Led Zep gave me back my mojo !!!

  • y the hell didu say the f*** word

  • oh i didn't realize the symphonic version i was going to say...

  • How's about next time you read the video title? It clearly states this is the symphonic version.

  • Two things: First, this version is beyond epic. I have seriously spent all night (practically) looking for a way to get an MP3 version for my iPod. Second, YouTube flags the actual versions of this song due to copyright laws. I had two videos muted because of it :/.

  • google Youtube Converter and it'll download an mp4 of the video to your computer, and then google AoA Audio converter, and you can take the audio from the video in the MP3 format and you can put that right into iTunes for your iPod.

  • i have it on my touch

  • Did you find anyway to convert it to an mp3 version? Because I have to agree, this is some awesome!

  • type in youtube converter in google and the good ones will allow you to download the video AND convert it into whatever you like, that's what i'm doing:)

  • Playing this symphonic Zeppelin for an old fogie or any other stiff is a great way to open the door to them of the greatest band in history. Otherwise, it's useless....nothing compares to the original. Led Zeppelin was, is and will always be the ultimate rock band.

  • I hope your kidding.

  • Do not feed the troll.

  • don't feed the nerd talk...

  • Geez, you make me smile. You are the ultimate joke, if you haven't realized it yet. and By the way, Led Zep. is the ultimate. Nothing to add behind it - They are just pure ULTIMATE!

  • I think maybe you were on crack during this period of time. Maybe later when you aren't go back and see some of the amazing things Led Zeppelin has done!

  • You are terribly wrong.

Jimmy Page was pehaps the greatest guitar players to ever grace the earth and probably one of the most creative musical minds ever.

Robert Plant had some of the most amazing vocals that stretched form a wide range.

John Paul Jones was one of the most flexible players in the band. He played almost every instrument known to man and helpedd Zeppelin to adapt to different styles of music.

And Bonzo was self taught and probably the best drummer ever!

    So Take that!

  • HELL YEAH!

  • IN LED ZEPPELIN WE TRUST

  • HELLS YES!

  • This is me!

  • Although it is quite different to the original it is just as catchy, just as dynamic and just as enjoyable to listen to.

  • yeah I think the key word with this version is 'dynamic'... that's what really gets hold of you

  • While listening I envisioned James Bond infiltrating and destroying an enemy base.

  • thats a very intersting take on the song I like it.

  • You are so right! That's exactly what it reminds me of as well.

  • hmm u u listen hard it really songs like it...

  • I think it sounds pretty cool...has a totally new vibe to it. The arrangement is cool

  • The strings in the beginning were pretty flat but it picked up pretty good.

  • So many whingers in here. Of course this isn't going to sound like LZ, but what did some of you expect? They've taken the song to a different place and I respect that - it is the spirit of musical adventure that drove LZ in the first place. Get off your high horses and enjoy it for what it is.

  • You sir are so fucking....... right. I love the hell out of this version.

  • around 3:30-4:30 it sounds really evil : )

  • damn why is there only Orchestra, Drum covers, gUitar covers on youtube but nowhere the real song...thats messed up :( i just want the embed of the real song xD

  • it funny how an orchestra cant play this song well when Page and Plant and Bonham and Jones, just four guys(who were mortal gods) play it better than 50 people together. LED ZEPPELIN TILL THE END

  • Well... you're right.. but they're not mortal gods.... they just used a bunch of imperfect bodies to canalize perfection trough them towards our imperfect world duch needed for divine inspiration such as this... they're still alive... but in another plane of existence...

and btw... they came to prove divinity and perfection are facts and not just myths...

    =D yet... you were right

  • take your shit somewhere else teh internets is for srs business only

  • word

  • i agree with bruce. also Bonhams Drumming made this song Powerful. There is no power inside this

  • If you heard this live you'd feel the power inside it. This here definitely doesn't do it justice. And I think the problem most people have is comparing it to the original song. If you never heard Zeppelin before it would sound a lot different. But then again, that's only my opinion.

  • Not really, although bonzo was a pretty good drummer , ambient studio miking and compression made the track . It was recorded in headley grange which was an old house with plenty of natural reverb.

  • Know your musical periods and styles man!

  • It's lost something in the translation - despair! Plants bemoaning plaintive voice and the wailing banshee harmonica have no equivalent here. I feel like I'm listening to something entirely different here - but I don't know what!

  • super. sounds wonderful

  • I dont like this version that much

  • how did you get this symphony version?..i assume from ninjaburgers comment that its an actual cd..im new to the led zepplin but i like what i hear, and i would like to get the song/cd

  • It's is on a CD. It's called (Kashmir) Symphonic Led Zeppelin. And It's got 9 tracks on it.

  • Great performance from a great band !!!

  • very good! i love this song and i love this version. awesomeness!

  • I loved this song growing up, I never stopped listening to in only because Led Zep is beyond the best. Then I heard this version and because (like all true music lovers) I love any classical/symphony of that nature man this is EXCELLENT, cheers to you Aypz for up loading this.

  • Not a bother mate :)

  • this is my facourite led zeppelin song... and from the mouth of an obsessor... i say this song is amazing :)

  • Really very awesome - thank you!

  • I wish I had this CD

  • Fanatstic version!

  • Great take on a great Led Zeppelin song.

  • unusual take on a great classic. very interesting!

  • Trully spectacular. Give 1,000,000 stars out of 5
