  • Downton were out of Downton, near Salisbury Wiltshire UK. Please web search Downton Engineering, it was run by an Eccentric English couple Daniel &Bunty Richmond, well worth reading up on, just search for Downton Engineering, so many great stories, from people who worked there in the 1960s early 70s.

  • Mine is in peices, the body is immaculate and completely rust free and is in primer. The original speedo says 80,000 miles. Australian Cooper S' have over riders on the bumppers.

  • great car, i had a 1960 850cc that ended up as a 1310cc.1 man, Alec Issigonis, designed this car.wheels are 10 inch, not tyres! door bins were designed to take milk bottles, alec didnt drink but they are also good for wine bottles!peter sellers had 1.
