Best alternative for smoke critics. If youre looking for multi functionality/durability, this is the way to go. Bic is always a safe bet no one could doubt that, but for the price difference I would go for a multi-use/durable/artsy lighter. Just me though.

@tokwok2 for a clipper you don't use lighter fluid, you use butane gas :)

New Clipper design is a massive FAIL -

The hexagonal shape of the flint wheel gets to hurt your finger after repeated lightings

The flint itself wears down after a day

The valves are faulty, so refills always end with butane sprayed all over the place

I've switched to Bic - small and nasty, yeah, but they light. Clippers don't.

good to know: you can change not only the flint, but the whole flint-system (incl. wheel). That's why Clipper lighters last extremely long - like a zippo :)

If you don't find them in your hood you might order them online (that's what I do...)

Some are branded "Cupper" - I would never buy one of these.

I got a collection of some hundred Clipper lighters over the years and I NEVER heard of such crappy reviews on this awesome product.

Still: the ultimate lighter.
