Much easier to do with a match in a cork....... Light the match and turn on the microwave........ REALLY cool if you use a pyrex lab glass.. Very dangerous though, let a teacher handle it........ It was so much fun watching my physics teacher's face when he saw the plasma... he literally did that experiment all day and would come find me and my friend in the middle of another class to show us how he made it better!!!!!! lol

The grape thing, when you cut the grape, the 2 corners act like receptors, so the heat/microwaves travel down toward the skin of the grape, and in that little 'crevace' it gets so hot that the heat is emitted out,

Didnt know about this until now....but the distinct smell u get when u open the door after ur done with this is very bad for you lungs and brain. Try and put a a jar made out of quartz over it so it can withstand the heat of the plasma but not let that gas rush at you all at once....and do this in a well ventilated area.
