We were swimming in the Blue Lagoon. It's a natural hot water spring and is great to swim in!

@modelearth I'm afraid I don't remember what it cost but all the excursions were booked through a company called "Iceland Excursions" who have an office in the city centre and I think there are prices on their website. Our accommodation was booked with "Apartment K". Have a great time!

@gregthegreek We booked with a company called 'Apartment K'. The accommodation was really funky, very comfortable, had great facilities (movies on demand, internet etc.) and very central. I totally recommend staying with them.

Can you please tell me where in Iceland you saw the northern lights? And did you do some type of package vacation for all of this? I only ask because I really only want to see the N.LIGHTS( the other stuff is really cool) and I need to know how far away from city lights and such I need to be to see them( I also know there are a bunch of other factors for seeing them) I mean can I get a hotel in the capital and move around somewhere near there to see them? Please tell me brother!

@chrispietryka We didn't go to see the NL and were just very lucky. They appeared at about 2am when we were coming off the Eyjafjallajökull glacier near the south of the island where the volcano erupted - just follow highway 1 south from the capital. At easter that was the tail end of the period that you'd expect to see themso probably better go earlier in the year.

@chrispietryka Well im from iceland, and if the northern lights com up in the sky, you can see it where you stand, if its a clear sky, then it dosnt matter where you are. But they have tours for the northn lights. Hope you enjoy your visit.

wow this is beautiful. My brother was stationed in Keflavik Iceland when he was in the navy. It was hard being apart. We are both close. It was just him and me. I want to go so much. This video is what i imagined when he spoke about it. He even spoke about visiting the Blue Lagoon. Beautiful video. Beautiful family. Thank you for making this.
