Cans of compressed air aren't cheap, but it's the only way to clean a computer. Don't try to use an air compressor either, lol. The air that comes out of an air compressor contains too much moisture.

The "smell" goes away after it dries. I clean all of my computer parts with vinegar. LOL water? OK let me see you wash a car with just ""water".

it's not the vinegar that cleans the computer, the vacuum cleaner does. All the vinegar does, is to insulate the static of the computer. Vinegar is a good insulator, by the way.

Vinegar kills bacteria.. that SHOULD be your primary reason for cleaning your computer, at least, the peripherals you use with it. Dust removal is only done to keep components cool and looking nice.

The top of the keyboard may be cleaned, but unless you've soaked the towel and reall pressed it down on the keys, it's not going to do a thing for the dirt that collects on the sides and fronts of the keys, nor will it get out the dust, hairs and other assorted crumbs that are hiding under the keys. Think yours is clean? Turn it upside down and shake it.
