@FM897 Everyone has a different requirement from a vanilla perfume, whether they want to be more drier or sweeter, boozy or more vegetal. The ones I like these days are L'Artisan Vanille Absolument, Mona d'Orio Vanille, Vanille Sauvage de Madagascar by Maison de la Vanille, Kenzo Amour and Bulgari Black.

I`m wondering yours opinions-are Sunsine Cuties suitable for winter?because it assumes to be totaly summer fragnances.Is it important smel differently when it`s freezing and cold,and snowing?

If so..how should parfumes for winter smell?

@StupidChel G from the Sunshine Cuties is pretty tropical, so it might be odd to smell like that in cold weather, but the others could work any time of the year.

For me, colder weather is an excuse to wear heavier, richer, deeper fragrances that might be too cloying in the heat. Summer is when you generally want to wear sheerer, more citrus/fruity fragrances.

But perfume is also a form of self-expression, so really, if you love it, wear it!

I thought this review was a joke at first. I bought Lil' Angel, and not only did it last like two seconds, but it basically smelled like what I've termed "vanillafruit." Boring. I DO think it'd be good for preteens though.

@SuperPoisonCupcake They're all so different - it's really down to which scent makes you feel happiest. G feel summery to me, Lil' Angel is my fave and works year-round, and Love is soft and pretty and jaminey, perhaps more spring-y?

Katie, I know you've done reviews for Lolita Lempicka and Lolita Lempicka Fleur De Corail but have you tried the L De Lolita Lempicka? It smells JUST like Lil' Angel Sunshine Cutie. I think you should try that one. I think you'll love it. I'm sure it lasts longer than the Harajuku :)

I finally tracked these down in my town to sniff. It's fun to watch the review, find the perfumes to smell, and watch the review again because I'm like "Shampoo that makes you angry! I understand completely!" I actually liked Baby more than I thought because it smells like cheap jasmine tea, which is oddly comforting to me. Love smells exactly like a mud mask I have. She looks too cute to have such lackluster juice :(

I actually bought Lil' Angel online after watching your review the other day (yes, without trying it in person first, that's how much I trust your reviews and opinion)... I couldn't help it, I was curious and I got it for cheap (thank god! because there are like... two drops of perfume in that tiny bottle). I really like the smell, but the staying power is really disappointing. And that's too bad :( very pretty vanilla.

@topsyturviness The staying power is not great in the HL series. They really are more like cheap'n'cheerful fun fumes for the kids, and that's why I was shocked that Sunshine Cuties Angel smelled so fine!

I got all the harajuku lovers summer dolls from Nordstrems they cam with with a cute beach towel and a travel case.my fave scent is G ,Love and Baby .Baby smells kinda like Cliniques fragrance Happy.

To be honest with the influx of celeb-endorsed smells that seem to be pouring out lately, I was hesitate with this line. Even though I am a fan of Gwen, I tried to be unbiased in my fragrance selecting. But I was charmingly surprised with the original "Music" scent. Now it looks like I may just need to check out the Summer collection as well. Curse the scent gods and all your scent-ful-ness ! I simply can't leave the house now without a spritz and I love it! I think my fave JM is Red Roses these days, but I can't really get into any of the others. They seem a bit high-pitched, a bit shrill. Just my take, of course.

i have tiny vial samples of the original harajuku lovers and while i love their scent i get a migraine everytime i wear one ( so i stoppped wearing them) i'm just wondering if these ones r as strong! also can u recommend a great summer perfume! i love things like : Vera Wang Princess and Lacoste Dream of Pink!

Lil'Angel was the only one I liked of the all Harajuku Lovers (both the original and Sunshine Cuties - the only one that I found tolerable from the first run was the Love). It reminds me a lot of Shalimar Eau Legere. I would be buying this one for the fragrance and not for the doll (something I cannot say about any of the other ones, which I ended up using as Xmas tree decorations).

@mrpillowz Good on ya! The coconut that I think is amazing is Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess (ridiculous name, but what are you gonna do?). It's more of a sensual scent, not fresh like the others you mentioned.
