Was my first directing gig - lots of fun, but tons of work. All the animation was done a frame at a time. Photocopying footage, cutting them out, registering each copy on cell, & re-shooting it - either on a multiplane system or re-shooting outside (as in the shot with the full sized greyhound dog). Even the spinning newspapers were shot a frame at a time (blurred in camera, by shaking the table every fame). Crazy when you think about it. Not bad for a bunch of novices! :)

@sknifton I directed it with Peter Dougherty (he shot all the concert footage). I did the animation and re-shot Shane for additional scenes. Was a lot of fun - but insane hard work - as EVERYTHING in those days was done by hand. All the animation was a frame at a time. No after-effects or post effects. Everything was shot in-camera. The outdoor shot with the full-size photocopied greyhound dog and the band's faces took all day to set up & shoot. Plus we cut the whole thing on film!
