You could categorize almost anything as a drug including food and freshly laundered clothing, but producing similar effects does not mean these are the same things. An addict could become addicted to anything, but a drug definition that makes more sense to me is a chemical you have to absorb to feel the effects.

Then weed is a definitely a drug, as well as coffee or sugar. But what is "normal" anyway?
