after developing the film i projected it onto a wall and filmed the projection with a mini dv camera, then edited the video in adobe premiere elements

canon? It's Kodak - the stopped making Kodachrome film already. But they released a new film to replace it, Ektachrome 64T. They're not phasing it out yet. (unlike Fuji who announced the death of Single 8 film a few months ago)
16mm just as cheap!!! 16mm cameras cost a lot more and the film is twice the price at least. You can pick up super 8 cameras and projectors for very little.
what is it with skaters and super 8??? the big strawman is cool i saw it on my way down to croyde this year. Go for 16mm film next- just a cheap now and better quality
