i find it helps to remove the stem and put a pipe cleaner into that hole so theres a small pocket at the bottom of the bowl

Great video Jeff. That spin technique was new to me. I am going to have to try that tomorrow. I usually smokes flake now. To fill a pipe with a flake, you fold, then put into bowl. Lite and enjoy.

Packing and smoking a pipe properly is something of an art. It took me a while to figure out how to consistently pack and smoke a pipe without having to relight all the time. It's pretty satisfying when you figure out how to do it. I have smoked pipes on and off for years, it's a lot of fun, fairly inexpensive, and the variety of tobacco is incredible.

I've been smoking a pipe off and on for years and I never was exactly sure on how to pack the tobacco,I just pack it until it feels right,In the course of smoking a bowl I must have to re-light at least 5 times.BTW.....I inhale,not all the time just once in awhile.It's no big deal to inhale like some people suggest.
