@bigfootgunot I think there going buy muzzle energy alone in there ranking system. It is true 9mm+p 124 grain loads hit harder then 230 grain standard pressure 45 loads at muzzle but if you jump out to 50 yards the 9mm loses quite a bit of velocity and energy while the heavier bullet doesn't. A 230 grain 45 acp hit with about 325-350 ft lbs at 50 yards. while 9mm luger nato ball loads( a little hotter then standard pressure) hit with a 290-310 ft lbs depending on barrel length.
Yea but this is a personal defense scale most of that happens within 10ft. if you are shooting a personal defense situation at 50 yards with a pistol something is very very wrong and you should probably be running not shooting.
how did it take him more time to hit the target with this than with the compact and how did he miss? this test is flawed, also how is +p 9mm ammo more deadly than a 45 cal bullet?
why do you use only one hand? I understand that the first round might be one handed in a hurry, but if theyre far enough back I cant whip them with a full sized 1911 then Im sure as hell gonna be going weaver stance
ya know you have much more time to do your videos...linger a little longer on the knock down power charts and basically....all the charts. Don't rush!
These 9mm bullets are pretty light compared to what I bought a few years age. I have some Black Talon 9mm that are 147gr and would jump the stopping power up a lot compared to the bullets used here.124gr? 9mm? No thanks. I have .380 that's heavier.
I own the .40 XDm 3.8in barrel. Great weapon, accurate to 2" groupings at 25 yards. Not that i can get 2 in groupings at 25 yards but it is supposed to be that accurate. NutNFancy on your tube has a great video on the XD/XDm.
The time to first hit is still in my mind subjective. Say Mr. Potterfield doesn’t have a good day, or has just a mild chemical imbalance or whatever, and you can see where that test can change almost daily with the same gun. So I would call it a 'take it with a grain of salt' test...
Other than that I don't own an XD, so I won't judge it till I do :)
i love midway but i mute his voice out my head when i watch midwayusa videos why i watch em idk.. larry you need to go somewhere..

Why nobody mention who is designer?
Because it is made in Croatia. And don't forget that.

@TheIZI6 I thought Springfield bought the designs and rights to produce from Croatia.

@Berelore Yeah, not to mention you might go to prison. It's kinda hard to claim self-defense when the assailant is 50 yards away. Lol!

I'm just going to assume Larry knows what he's talking about on this one.

Considered the XDm in .40, but I'm really interested in the .45 (once the State Police here add it to the approved roster).
