This game is available at this arcade I go to. At first, it's really not that hard, you could get to level 500 with not much practice. The trick is, to keep going, you have to be consistently fast and flawless, or the game just ends. That's where the real challenge comes in. There are level beyond 1300, but it's just too ridiculous to get to. This guy couldn't even make it with this performance, kind of shows you where the real challenge comes in. Great vid regardless by the way!

With practice it actually doesn't take that long to build some really decent speed.

If you're already a somewhat experienced player, a month should do it. The keys are using the tones for the next piece instead of looking up, not to just go for the perfect place but a place that fits OK, and to create lines, obviously. :P Though you should practice on TGM1's death mode first, then go up to TGM2's death mode which starts to speed up, then you should be ready.

FYI, this is a modern tetris game, not a modified version of the original. To people unfamiliar with 20G gameplay in the Tetris the Grandmaster series, it's exponentially harder than the original tetris gameplay.
