  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA omg this was so funny

    NOT

  • TOPGLIDER "Gliiiiide into the danger zone!"

  • I'm a glider pilot and this was not dangerous at any point. As long as you got energy you are very safe in a glider. (Besides striking objects.) In contests its common to do low passes and a go around. He loses a few style points for dragging the wing on the way out. :-) The plane is probably a SGS-232 Schweizer, as its one of the few 3-seaters i know.

  • It is so crazy but funny))

  • What is the problem with taxiing out? Nice movie, what kind of glider is this? You flew with 3 people in one glider?

  • @Nitraat154

We were a little bit «skizz» back there but yes 3 people ! Sorry but i don't have any tech. detail on this glider but if you really want to know i can send you a picture. I will try with YouTube but i'm not sure i can.

  • dangerous..I'm a pilot and I think it's dangerous, especially the taxi out.

  • Lol he even taxiied out!

  • lol, sounds like you and your girlfriend had a good time :)

  • wow that was near death ( or may be not ) well, you saved your self from getting wet. hehe

  • It all depends on speed, you can cnvert height to speed or speed to height. Lots of excess speed for the beat-up over the water (you can hear the wind rushing over the cockpit) then the pilot converts it back to height for the landing.

Of course, that reminds me of the two most dangerous words in flying - "watch this!"

  • Looks like fun - he seems to know what to do ........ But I have to admit, I like a nice, stabilized approach right down the chute.

  • Normally a bad landing, but this pilot has probably done this a million times. He knew exactly what he would do and where he would touch down to taxi right into position.

  • Yes... Exaclty !!! I think you are the first person who understand what happened. Me and my girlfriend have encouraged de pilot to give us some thrill. (I'm never sure for my english but i try...)

  • i would have shit myself..

  • I am Spanish! so my english isn't really good, I don't know what did you mean...

  • I said that you are crazy!!! With a plane you musn't play... flying isn't a game...

  • Finally... Spanish was perfect ;-)

  • Estais lokos, esas cosas no se hacen!

  • French or english per favor ;-)

  • Too high on approach.. missed the piano keys...(wat shud be touch dwn point) n way away from r/w centre line.. bad landing.. sorryy!!

  • A high approach... it's the idea of this landing call «à la française» and the thrill its to fell the droop.

For myself it was very funny ;-)

  • @suhasirawal It's a freaking glider, have you ever flown a glider? You DO NOT follow standards, such as landing on the piano keys, or staying on the center line, infact when landing a glider you WANT to be high, what if you hit sink on final? Unless you are a glider pilot, don't critique his landing.

  • Speed and altetude is energi for a glider. You can swap between theese two types of energi by changes in speed of the glider abowe the stall speed and, and below VNE. A modern high performance glider would be able to convert 500 to 600 ft to speed, and regain it for altetude later. It also equals around 8 to 9 miles of gliding distance. 7 miles out in 0 ft and max speed, and it wil go home (:-))

  • trois personnes sur le planeur ? J'entends deux personnes sur le dos.

  • Excellent :)

  • Beat-up-tastic

  • is it skidding around the corner? o.O

  • Absolutely :-)

  • Bob Hoover showed it's all about how you manage your energy. The secret in this case was having a good amount of forward speed when so low: Gliders have very high glide-to-sink ratios, and if you have enough speed built up, you can stretch a glide out, go low for a good distance, pull up and watch your speed, then set your landing glide up. If this was at 60 knots, there'd be no way the glider would make it back to the strip.

  • that looks well good fun but didnt you ever think at any point the pilot might be slightly mental!! but he is verry good at it tho!!

  • It's nothing for this guy... he won many competitions in the past. He play with physical force; elevetion and speed. But yes... i never thought we can slide near the ground like this about 1 km before to land ! (Sorry for my english, i'm french canadian ;-)

  • Madman :D lol

  • Switzer plane? Sound like 3 persons onboard. Not well known in europe.

  • i like all,but the last fast corner to exit from the runway didn't put too much stress on the left wing?I can hear the scream of the tire... :)

  • err..ok?

  • This is a glider? cool.

  • glider :) haha realy funny :D
